I have been trying to find where I laid that old pin since I took those photos. I searched for about 30 minutes the other day. I feel like Hoot: . It must have rolled under something. If I can find it I will. I think it is just pressed in.

OK – I just found it on my bow and arrow rack. PM me your address. 😛

It looks like an aluminum back and a steel stem pushed in. The Delrin also appears to be pushed in firmly. You can see where the Delrin failed when they were too thin.

Here is a better shot of the break. I think right at that break point the Delrin goes up into the body. I guess the Delrin machines ok.

Is the valve stem a 2 piece design?

Does the pin screw into the main body?

Or is it pressed? I. Thinking it’s a aluminum body with a hardened steel pin ???

If you want coda drop that old pin in the mail and I’ll cee if I can do something with it. Maybe make a whole new one pm me

Here is the pictures I took. My last ones are now in my two Crickets.

The new one is on the left. The right one that failed were one of the original free replacements. They thickened the Delrin on the newer ones. I am not even sure of the metal material they are made of. The length from the bottom of the Delrin to the end of the stem has not changed.

You can see the piece on one edge that split off.

Kind of wondering if one can make and replace just this Delrin piece ?

Hey coda post up some pics… of the stem…. I may be able to fix it or spin u up a new one

You mean like they (Obama) is going to take away your BBQ now? Did you see that the EPA wants to eliminate BBQ emissions prompted by you-know-who.

Keep it hush hush Coda. The EPA might be monitoring…… :suprisedn:

I called Steve and he didn’t think so but I will PM Earnest. Everyone says they are coming on the next shipment. It’s funny but I hear of quite a few failures of the newer metal/delrin stems but the dealers all claim they have very few failures. 😯 I just heard from two guys who said the new ones only lasted a few months and the Delrin split like mine. I think the issue is we put thousands of shots through these things at somewhat high power and many folks don’t. I had 18 tins of 500 10.34 JSBs .177s and am down to 9 tins and about half-way through the this one. That is about 5000 shots in maybe 9 months on one of six PCP guns I shoot. 😯 I need spares. 😛 My backyard might be declared as a lead mine.

Big Ern does have any?
