Q:

Crosman parts and replacing Co2 seals?

My Crosman T4 needs a new piercing pin and I will replace the seal too.

The gun is not piercing the cartridges, just dimples them short of a puncture.

Q1. I have not been able to find the parts online, where can I ?

Q2 What tool do I need to remove the seal? looks like a wide flat blade.

How wide, thick, etc.?

Is this a tool that would be universal for this if I should get one for use on my other guns too?

I can also just take it in to B-B Supply locally here in MN, but thought I might give it a try myself.

This last time, it managed to puncture it, fired once very strong, then barely and then not at all for 10 tries. I had no choice but to carefully remove the cartridge fully charged. It of course gassed out and after removing it, I found that the bit of the end of the cartridge that is pierced out had evidently found its way back to the output of the cartridge and had replugged the hole!!!

I found the little circle laying in the stem/seal area when I pulled the cartridge assembly out.

Now it will not pierce and I think it just needs a new piercing pin, but I may as well replace the seal too while I am at it. I had experianced a poor puncture once before, but a retry was successful that time.

I will be interested in selling this gun after the repair, I just have too many that are alike and I need to thin the herd a bit… (HUH???? yeah I know.. LOL )

Thanks

Thanks, picked up the new peircing pin and a seal at at local shop.
The seal doesn’t look quite right though (came with the pin) the hole in the seal is not as big as the Co2 cartridge is wide, much narrower and not compressable. It is sort of saucer shaped… as in space craft alien saucer… I’ll see what the original is like once I get it out. I can always replace it later too.
So long as the pin works, should be fine though. The current seal I think is good.
Now to buy a new screwdriver that is wide enough. Needed an excuse to go to Harbor Freight anyhow…

You’ll need part numbers first…

Then contact Crosman to order the parts.

Can’t help you with the tool…don’t have the pistol to look at. Will suggest that if it LOOKS like a large flat blade screwdriver is required…a pipe wrench is likely the wrong tool. 😉

When all else has failed, you have my permission (should you feel it needed) to apply the “bigger hammer” theory of repair. 😆
