Q:

current condor configuration shot count and pictures…

I wanted to set this rifle up to shoot as many shots with the most accurate pellet. It shoots many pellets accurately but the JSB Kings are literally one holers at 23 yards (current zero). Chairgun puts me at 53 fpe at the muzzle, 43 fpe at 23 and at 100 yards I’m still hitting with 25 fpe.

I only have 2800 psi left in my CF tank but I think this will most likely prove to be the best SP for this rifle, although I could play around with the TH and SP some more but whenever I get an AF rifle to shoot one hole groups I tend to leave things be for a while 🙂

27 shots (no bell curve, just flat line heaven)
SP 2800
EP 2200

ES 24

958,960,,959,965,961,962,973,982,981,979,979,977,982,975,977,983,981,976,970,967,965,962,970,961,959,962,958

I can surely get more shots out of this if I wanted to with a larger ES but for know I have no desire to do so because 27 good shots is plenty for plinking and hunting 😎

950’s up to 980’s and back down to 950’s again “IS” a bell curve there Joe. And a very nice one at that! 😀 Looks like you did a fine job of tuning! 😉

Well, technically but with an ES of only 24 I kind of consider that as close to regulation without a regulator as this man’s condor will ever get! 😎

ok one other thing i want from subsonic so that one has the 2 screws going into the breach then is it smooth

Yes, very sturdy, especially if you are using a heavier hammer spring. Tagdagger put in two (I forget what you call them) “brass threaded star shaped inserts” into the breech. Or i suppose you could drill and tap the delrin for a larger machine screw…

Sweet paint job 80!!

I’d find a way to hang the butt pad from the stock. It would keep any pressure off the bottle and avoid any poi changes because of it. Use some type of spacer that sticks up so you can have it where it is comfortable.

I think you need a tri-rail as well, it will look better with those MASSIVE rings..

I so wish I had just gone for the Condor instead of the TalonSS way back when. 😀

I thought about the same thing with the poi change. So far I have not noticed any change but I agree that it would be best to have no pressure on the frame via the bottle so eventually I will make a piece out of wood to alleviate that potential pressure….. The rings are aluminum (very light). Plus I think they add to the dual color combo of tan and black…

Hell, changing your ss into a condor is an easy task as you already know. I wish I could settle upon what I will want but it seems like I’m always changing my condor around. For instance, I have the 24″ barrel. I could use the coin by selling it…but I convinced myself to keep it so I can try Doug’s “tornado” valve (that will be part of the .257 he is building me) on my condor along with the 24″ barrel and the surefire 7 rings. I always wanted to see how much those 7 rings improved with a little more speed and this will give me the opportunity to do so. Just pull out the 18″ barrel, drop in the 24″, crank up the powerwheel and the 95 gram hammer that is in the 18″ condor now (perhaps on a slightly lower fill pressure than I would use on the .257 and heavier hammer…), and see what she can do at 100! I even have a few 6 and 9 rings lying around for comparison 😎

80 where did you get the breach knob

subsonic (a member here) used to sell them. Not sure if he still does. You could send him a pm.

You should remove the buttpad from that bottle plate and attach it to the stock. Would look even better than it does already IMO 😀

Pab,

When the morgan was on the stock the bottle would not allow the proper “up” adjustment for my liking. The top of the butt pad hit the bottom of the bottle. Also, I have long arms and I like the LOP where it is.

I will most likely make a “spacer” to fill that void between the stock and pad….Cheers!

I could spend all day looking at pic’s of A.F. guns.
Still one is a beauty…

What is “ES”?

“Extreme Spread” or the largest difference in Feet Per Second throughout the shot string.
