I’ve zeroed it at 50m and after getting a couple of fillings worth of lead down range there’s only one conclusion…
It’s a keeper! for sure

Hey SE, i’m thinking of selling my 177 Cricket and getting a 22 cal Matador long so I can detune it to under 20ft-lbs. It’s the standard not…not the compact. Has a custom made single shot tray and a Anschutz front rail set into the stock (it’s the black synthetic stock). Interested? 😀
For killing stuff it’s PLENTY accurate, for what I am looking for it’s just ok. I’m looking for sub 1/2″ ten shot groups at 45 yards indoor, group after group. I may be searching for something that is out of reach for the current 177 pellet selection. I’m getting on average just under 3/4″ groups, ten shots at 45 yards indoor. I’ll certainly keep it because it is accurate, but a chance to get into the larger caliber pellet selection is pretty enticing after shooting with Demp223 and his detuned EdGun long in 22. The pellets in that caliber are just better I think, or the dynamics of the waisted pellets are just better outside the 177 diameter. Certainly the 22 is better in the wind!

It’s heavier than I imagined, but the power is very serious. It would shoot 45gr cast slugs nicely, should you be confronted by a bull Lemming, during breeding season!
