Q:

Daystate Air Wolf MCT Tactical .25

Jim at Precision Airguns just advised me that my Daystate Air Wolf MCT Tactical .25 w/Huggett will be shipped tomorrow! I’m psyched, I’ve been waiting for the Daystate shipment to arrive in the US for weeks.

Jim mounted the Huggett shroud, made sure it was centered with no clipping and test fired prior to shipping. Jim is a great guy to deal with.

Looks like a shooter!

Unboxing. Note the double boxing by Jim at PAG, this is how rifles *should* be shipped.

Package as received from the Brown Truck, ground UPS insured.

Outer box opened. Cardboard spacer to prevent inner box from shifting in outer box.

Inner box.

Test target and paperwork.

QC Checklist.

Inner box styrofoam insert.

More photos to follow after scope mounting, sight-in and range report. The Tactical stock feels awesome, very soft, grippy tactile feel. The balance is perfect IMHO, points much better and better length than the FX 500.

Hmmm . . . makes my 25 tins of Kings a real treasure-trove . . .

Drool….

Dude…What a stash of JSB’s!!! I’ve been waiting on JSB kings in .25 cal for a month!!!! PA supposed to get them in next week. We’ll see, that date has already been moved back twice now.

Thanks Bogman.

As far as the rodents and pests go, my TSS has been holding its own admirably while I await the Wolf. I can’t wait to send some .25 hurt their way. As of this morning, European Starlings are now on my list. A pair was making a nest in the front peak vent of our house. There is hardware cloth behind the slats to keep them out of the attic, but they were busy making a nest on the slats under the overhang and crapping everywhere in the process. 1 down, 1 to go. We’re being invaded by fur and feather.

I think I have enough JSB Kings for the time being ;).

Great looking gun, Ballistic! I like the lines and the accuracy. Looking forward to your reports on it and details. Glad a great .25 will finally be in your hands.

I have a message for all the rodents in your area:

Flee! Flee for your lives!!

Since rodents can’t read this, you’ll still have plenty of targets 😛

Too bad we can’t buy stocks of JSB! I bet their factory is hoppin’.

Looks awesome, I actually didnt know Jim carried the tacticals.

Let us know how you like it
I plan on ordering a fx400 with regulator from Jim in the near future.

QUick question though, you got 25 caliber, but on his page doesnt it say 39 fpe and 27 fpe on the target? Correct me if Im wrong

Thanks. You are correct, the .25s are putting out about 40FPE on high power and 27-29FPE on low power. My Reg’d FX 500 was putting out about 43FPE. I understand it is on the low end for a .25 and I was considering a 50FPE .25 Air Ranger, but settled on the MCT Tactical w/ Huggett for its combination of accuracy, high shot count, and mouse-fart quiet backyard shooting.

The velocity should settle in a bit higher averaging right around 860fps with the Kings after “breaking-in” from what I’ve read from other users on The Yellow.
