Daystate MK4 iS review.

Following is a quick review of my Daystate MK4 iS in .177.

I’ve had the Mark 4 iS for about a month know. I was leery of the electronic rifle and I’m still not sure that it’s not going to crap out but it seems reasonably rugged and very well thought out.

It is very easy to change power settings from low to high power. The only issue I have with it is that what while it shoots many pellets very well, it will only stay under 12fpe with CPLs.

Here is my shot string from a 200 bar fill will looking for a sweet spot. nsorted JSBH.

Also the rifle is extremely consistent. The trigger takes some getting used to since it is just a switch. But if you can handle a light trigger, it really helps.

It’s not regged in the traditional sense. The computer senses the amount of air in the tank and make appropriate changes in the valve timing to keep the shots very consistent. Works very well.

The stock is very well laid out. There is a semi-beaver tail forearm that nicely steadies the rifle in the standing and kneeling positions.

I’m running a Bushnell 4200 6-24×40 AO Mildot. I’ve tried all that are worth trying and there is not a better scope for the money.

I’ve owned many high end rifles and they were all fine shooters. But I’ve learned the hard way that there’s more to ownership that just have a great shooting rifle and each person’s requirements.

I’m not a tinkerer. I’ve replaced a few o-rings, etc. but prefer to shoot than work one one. So it need to be ready to go out of the box. This particular rifle is very easy to change power, shoots most every pellow well.

It is shrouded but needs a LDC. I’ll cover that in another post.
