Daystate Mk4 Update
I did a little target shooting and decided to try out some 18gr jsb pellets.I needed to make a small windage adjustment and noticed that my windage was maxed out on my hawke sidewinder.After looking at the the scope alingnment in reference to the barrel shroud it looks like the scope is slightly pointed to the left.
I removed and turned the scope rings 180deg and tried it again but it had the same effect.My scope rings are a brand new set of bkl single straps.I optically centered the scope and tried it but it was shooting llike 2-3 feet to the right.I have checked the barrel band and the shroud is not binding or touching.The scope has been mounted on three other pcp’s with no problem.
Tried some b-square and some hawke mounts with identical results.I am not going to take the gun apart.I have tried everything I know to do and I still have the same problem.It seems that after the windage is maxed out,it is about 1/2″ from zero to the right.I will be boxing it up today and shipping it back to the dealer.

I wouldn’t send it back unless I was certain. You said it seemed straight with the straight edge against the scope rail, correct? try this same test on the Edgun. There is the possibility that your Edgun is out the other way…You really need to try another scope and or rings to be certain…at least I would. Don’t you have any neighbors or friends, or a gun shop that can lend you one to test???
You dont happen to have a laser bore aligner do ya?
How far was yours out before you adjusted the scope mounts?
I do not have another scope.The scope that I am using was on my edgun and had no problem with it.I did sit a straight edge against the side of the scope rail and it seemed to be fine.With the scope mounted it seems to be off very little and with the sunshade on it you can really tell it.
Ugh! What a horrible disappointment! If you held a yardstick against the mounting rail, was it also askew? I guess what I’m asking is, have you ruled out the scope as being the issue? Are you positive it’s the rail? Do you have a different scope to try?
SR, I removed the rings and filed the non adjusting side down about 1/16″ or a little more. (Front Ring). This moved the scope more in line. does fine now. (This was for one set of rings for the Air Wolf.) The other set did fine. 😕
Wow man , I hate that for you. Will you be requesting a refund or are you gonna just wait the three long months for shipment and repairs without a gun? We all want to know. You waited a long time to get that thing and now this. Id say dump it and move on, we gotta get you shooting well before our hunting trip. Give AoA a call while you wait for the dealer to give you your money back…

Problem seems to be solved.Dont know how but after putting the bkl’s back on with the mounts in a different spot on the dovetail,it now zeroes with windage leftover.
