Decision Time!
Hi all, new to the forum.
Have a dilemma. Should I get a 0.25 cal benjamin marauder, get the WAR valve upgrade/12.5ftlb spring and bullpup kit and get it shooting around 60ftlbs or just get myself an edgun matador r3m. Both probably the same in cost overall. ❗
Your thoughts please! :7:

Ed has said many things in the past. Several of them have later turned out to be just talk from his side.
In any case the EG is not on people’s list over most desirable BP’s on this continent so for Ed’s sake i hope this one statement of his holds some truth and he can sell them all in Russia . He may very soon need to …

The Ruble has bounced up and down. Competition has drastically changed. Price has fluctuated up and down. Supply and demand has never stabilized with Edguns.
It’s hard to tell what an Edgun will eventually sell for in the U.S. There is not an unlimited Matador supply here, but the demand still exists. the Leyla shipment has disappeared.
Thus the price for this brand remains remains in question. If Ed decides to stop sending them here, or severely limit their availability, the price per gun will go very high.
It’s as Ed has said many times “…buy another gun if that’s what you want! I can sell all I make in Russia.”
No one can deny there’s a lot of choices out there today!

With the price jiggling on Edgun’s, I’m not really certain what Tony is selling them for today??? Anyone know?

If you think about the price jiggling in outside of USA they may not be selling at all soon. The price in Europe has gone down by 25-30 %.
Wholesale prices ! Come and get yours while supplies (the Brand) still exists !

I like many others in this forum have the .25 Marauder and other toys. The Benji is an,ice gun, good entry point but compared to an Edgun or Cricket for the same price, either that Benji is overpriced or the other two are priced at a steal.
I like my Marauder, but it is what it is, an entry level PCP with a larger than .17 or .22 bore. If the price for the other two is what the price is for that Benji go with the other two – you will thank us later. This hobby can be a money-pit – the more PCP’s – the more air – the more air the – more ammo – the more ammo – the more accuracy you want – leading to more farkles and equipment.
I still tune and plink with my Marauder but I really have the fun with my Cricket both are accurate but I have more shots with the Cricket and more concentration with the Benji. That reminds me I need to order more ammo. 😀
Let the fun begin! :tag:
If you want the greatest accuracy and shot counts with precision, either a bug or R3M will outperform the Benjamin. You’ll pay for it, but when you’re putting 7-8, 5 shot groups @ 50yds into a dime, you’ll feel better. The regulators make a huge difference.

there are trade offs with the edgun and cricket but all in all one is not better then the other from what I hear and the cricket is a much better price!!!!!!!!
I like this bug gun they call Cricket. good power, boringly accurate (STACKS PELLETS) and quiet. Very nice balance when held free hand.
I say skip the Marauder and the Edgun and get a Kalibrgun Cricket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

will do, thanks fella 😉
This past weekend there was a little gun show up here in Ohio. (Toys That Shoot).
There was a vendor there that was selling refurbished Prods and Mrods. Along with a whole table of other guns.
Claims he knows someone at Crossman and they are factory refurbished and come with full 1 year warranty.
Now, I don’t really know this guy, but I have seen him at the show for the past 3-4 years.
I picked up a Prod Woodwalker .22 ..for $300. Now I know PA sells them for $499..so thats a good price!
I did not ask the price of the Mrods..I should have but was not interested in them
so FatDude..if you are interested in the Mrod as your gun choice. Drop this fella an email, maybe he has a few more Mrods and can save you a few hundred

Personally i would keep the mrod in riffle configuration with a lighter scope. And I’ve had an mrod with the MDRL bull- kit… Now here I am with a compact cricket. So for me it was a learning experience. Also I will say the mrod was my first and I wouldn’t have spent all that money on the cricket as my first airgun. I think the smartest thing to do would be waiting for a used edgun/cricket/bobcat or maybe a bullpup mrod to come for sale and if you need to resell then you won’t loose as much. Or just buy a mrod and get a carbon fiber tank with that money.

Cricket is a very nice gun but I hear from Ville and other lunatics on this board and other boards that Vulcans may just be the wave of the PCP bull-puppet future. It seems EDgun has a real problem with their supply chain and what guns are actually available. g()()d luck in your decision but I will say this stay away from the Marauder.
