Did Edgun stop doing business in U.S.?
There hasn’t been any word on the Edgun section for some time now, except for odds and ends on existing guns.

Synthetic stocks are more of a cost savings (mass production) and has durability advantages. I doubt you can get a synthetic stock that much lighter than a quality wood stock unless it was made of carbon fiber. In that case, cost savings is out the door.
I quess it depends on who´s doing the touching … 😯

In fact I am trying to make the breech now which can be universal, the owner just need to buy another bolt and change it from right to left even without taking off the breech. I am not sure if I will be in a success with it, but I am thinking in that direction, taking into consideration that someday majority of the shouter will require me to have left handed guns 🙂
I’ve always wondered about this. I’m right handed, and in the field I find it easiest maintain my hold with my right hand to reach over with my left hand to work the bolt. I’d never heard anyone else say that, so I thought it must be just me. I would definitely be interested in universal or “left handed” bolts for my .22, .25 and .30 Matadors. Put me on the list!

You couldn’t buy EDgun with synthetic stock as I never sell guns with such stocks. Are you sure you have EDgun? 🙂
For that I have black soft-touch cover for stocks. There are some delivered to USA as well (probably Junior has one of them). If people like it, no problem to assemble them with black stocks. Or with grey painted stocks, as it was before. Now we have painted it with Italian mica paint of very good quality.
Completely agree with you, the average stock weights about 0.6-0.7 kg, I doubt that synthetic would weight dramatically less.
I had emailed with Tony about getting one of your guns with the bolt assembly for a left hand person. I think when he responded to me he told me he had the guns in stock, but I think they are all for right hand people. Can I get a bolt assembly for left hand and change that out myself? I’d really like to have a .25 cal new model for left hand operation. I liked the reviews of your guns and your video of disassembling and reassembling it. From that video it is very obvious you have quality built into your guns. I like quality.
Look at all my videos, where I use EDgun Matador. What can you see? I am left handed shooter. The gun I have is right handed gun. Do you think me, as the gun maker, being left handed shooter just failed to make left handed gun for myself for 12 years I make guns? That means the only thing, right handed bullpup is much more comfortable to shoot for left handed shooter! 🙂 I am in panic estimating the fact that someday majority of the right handed shooter will find out that in fact it would be more comfortable for them to use left handed gun 🙂

Honestly, do you really need more than 12-16X ??? When you get into 24X to 36X in the under $1000 scopes, you are adding a lot of length and weight. Plus, the upper power clarity on those price range scopes is never as clear as a 12-16X. Just my experience.
And HOOT is absolutely right, as usual. 10 magnification scope is more then enough for shooting up to 200 yards.

hey ed. couldnt you design the breech to be universal and do the same to the bolt by way of a recessed cap screw and make the bolt itself have a square and the bolt handle be removeable? it would be the same bolt unit but a different handle, that way if a person wanted to go lefty on the rifle you would just change the handle itself out and the rifle would be done easy as that, BUT offer the option to get the right handed handle in case the person sold the rifle later?
or machine splines into the bolt which would ultimately be a stronger unit and provide more material for the interchangeable bolt handle to mount too with a tapered edge.
just ideas, ive seen it done before and seems to work well. i think you could figure something out

The quickest way to shave weight off an Edgun is to buy a lighter scope!

I understand. I haven’t weighed the Edgun stock, but I doubt it weighs much more than a pound. If you are shaving ounces, a quality synthetic stock would help, but I was responding to the “shave a LB or 2 off” comment.
Have you ever held a Browns Precision Stock? They are feather light compared to wood. http://brownprecision.com/ They are very strong so they can be made with less bulk. Not to argue, but any weight savings would be great.
Wood v. synthetic wouldn’t make more than few ounces difference. The wood just doesn’t weigh that much; the weight of the gun is in the metal.

But cannot afford all guns, I hope to have all conversion kits, long,std,short, 177, 22,25 and .30.
