I switched from the black talon to the agent loads back when I could buy them, at the time they boasted 1800 fps in 9mm. I never cronied them so that number is probably way off. (but i felt better)
For the past 3 years I’ve only carried s30v steel knives, so most of the hand guns live in the safe.
I guess that is why I am having so much fun re-discovering airguns 🙂
BLACK TALON:
I my current inventory is 9 40s&w (used to have a full magazine of 12, stupid me) and 8 of 44rem mag. Hopefully I don’t get stupid and mess up my defense ammo anytime soon and it will last forever.
P.s. look for Winchester “ranger” ammo at the gun shows, same stuff and really not that hard to come by; just always at a premium price.
Brings back memories, just checked and I still have 11 left but in 9mm, kept them in my P7m13 when I was in search & rescure and had a ccw.
Well, I’ve tried some drinks. My dad’s given me some. Just a “if you want to drink, drink here so I can make sure you’re safe” kinda thing. But, I’ve never liked the taste of anything I’ve tried. So, I don’t drink anyway.
I don’t know if “too smart” is how I’d put it, but I don’t. 😛

So that’s what blew out my window!
I shot my pistol and my mosin nagant a few times in the backyard. After a good size firework show, I thought, how much louder could the guns be? Well, a lot, is the answer. But I shot them anyway. No one cared. Just shot into the uphill woods behind my house. Cool to see the fireball that comes out of those guns.
Of course, I shot cheap ammo, and I had no alcohol in my system. 😛

Yeah, I’m still alive. I’ve had a busy 4th with relatives in town and doing the cub scout thing with my son. We sold over 1000 hot dogs on Friday at the local 4th of July celebration. If I never see another hot dog again it will be to soon. On Saturday night, I apparently got so drunk that I fired a couple of rounds off out of my Glock .40 in the nature preserve down the street from my house when I took the dogs for a walk. Talk about STUPID! I’m lucky I didn’t kill myself. I think what pisses me off more than anything is they were Black Talons, which you can’t get anymore. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!! I don’t advocate drinking and firearms in any way, but in my own drunken stupidity, I broke that cardinal rule. I think that’s a good wake up call that I might need to lay off the sauce for a while. Other than that, It’s been a good holiday.
