did some upgrades to my Condor SS
Did some testing on my Condor SS .25 tonight. This gun has proven to be very accurate and powerful and has become one of my all time favorites.
A few weeks back while shooting it I noticed a rattle in my tank so off it wet to Air Force to get repaired. Got it back within a couple weeks fixed as good as new. Apparently the valve seat retainer came off and I see that has happened on a few others as well. I could have fixed it myself but decided to let AF deal with it since it is still fairly new. While it was away I ordered Adams Wokguard 15 MKII and picked up Hogue AR15 grip. I received the Wokguard and my tank on the same day so I got it all set up and took a pic. I really like this gun now! Adams work is top notch as many of you already know. Also installed Tony’s adjustable top hat which is also top notch. So, onto the shooting.
I set up my chrony and shooting bench and got to work slingin some lead. Light was fading so I was only able to run three strings and I got close to what I was striving for. Previously it was shooting a little hot at over 950 fps and I wanted to get it down in to the 920’s or so and get close to 40 shots.
As it stands now I am using JSB 25.4, filling to 2700 psi, getting 35 shots from 910-940-910, PW is 7-7 and Tony’s top hat is wide open with a thin o-ring behind it. With a little more time and some tweaking I will get my 40 shots and keep them 910-930 or so. It seems like it really shoots good in that range just stacking pellet on top of pellet at 40 yards. When I had the power below 900 the groups opened up and also above 950 but not as bad.
Here is my last string from tonight
912,914,914,915,918,913,919,918,926,925,930,940,932,937,936,929,932,940,934,939,934,933,936,937,930,929,925,927,928,925,918,919,916,911,910
Next will be to shoot some longer range groups, but I have to wait for it to dry up a little as I shoot into a cornfield and it is still pretty muddy.
And here is a pic
