Dilemma! Standard or baby?
My local gun store has standard mutant 0.22 in stock. But no babies. Next delivery of short mutants will be in 3months. Are the short mutants worth the wait? Are they that much better than the standard length?

I have both and still reach for the baby most of the time.

Most bullpups are around 27- 28 inches long.
If you want a bullpup that’s less common, get the shorty.
It’s the prefect size for a compact bullpup.
Really there is nothing else like it, under 23 inches long, multi- shot regulated short bullpup .
I really like mine, could of got the standard Taipan, but then you end up with a bullpup of
27- 28 inches long, like all the others being sold. :biggrinn:

– length at 27″ still feels short to me, but i have yet to hold a shortie.

Wow, Nice shot Count, what pellets and speed is that?
Crossman premier 14.3 (brown box) and an average speed of 907 fps.
This is my first high end pcp and i have only had time to run 1 complete string, but i am very happy with my first results. I think my ES is ~25fps for the whole72 shots.

I think you will be happy with both.
The standard mutant is as long as what other manufacturers sell as “Shorty”.
The standard will give you some more shots and energy if you really need it.
Personally I consider the perfect bullpup being Baby size.
