dive tank
need some help or imformation. just had my dive tank filled it is 3300 lb 80 cu. ft tank. now the problem is i didnt get to fill my guns to the max. 28oo lbs, ive had this tank filled by the same shop everytime and no problems ths shop owner is glad to fill my tank. the only difference is my tank set out in my truck the night before i had it filled the temps were in the teens. did i get short changed on the fill or did the 17 degree temp. make the short fill? if so how should i go about getting a proper fill? p.s. this a great place to learn thanks a lot. kingpin

If the shop fills your tank rather quickly, the tank will be warm to the touch and will lose pressure inside the tank as it cools. I would assume with the tank spending the night in the truck at those temps may have caused some additional loss.
I can have my 4500psi tanks filled where I fill and by the time I get home, 30 mins later, they have dropped to around 4300psi. See if he can fill much slower next time and you should stay close to your max fill pressure.
the tank set in my truck outside all night. i had a twenty minute drive to the dive shop. tank was in my truck cab both ways and you bet i used the cab heat. i would guess that 20 minute ride was not enough to warm the tank much. kingpin
did he do a hot fill or a cold fill?
Hot fill will end up with the tank decreasing in temp as it cools.
