Q:

Diver’s Silicone on Parts of the gun

Should I be using Diver’s Silicone on the breach end of the barrel? I thought it was to only be used on O-Rings.

Also, where can I find Dry Silicone Lubricant? Does the can need to say Dry?

I have used the CRC product on my Condor since I got it. DO NOT use it on the o’rings. They required a product that does not dry out.
I use the spray on the spring and hammer. I used Molybdenum Disulfide in alcohol on all the screws and the trigger pins, (not the sear surfaces).

Spray silicone try it on your O rings first 😕 I spayed some spray silicone on my RWS 850 and the spray dissolved an O ring.

So some silicon spray will dissolve O rings 😕

Divers silicon is recommended by Airforce 😕

Chemtronics Silkon 35 lubricant will dissolve orings, I keep the can to remind me not to use spray silicon. The liquid part may be flammable.

Sam 🙄

CRC puts out a spray silicone for automotive use. It works well on items that require a “dry” silicone product.

dont think they are in anyway the same or even close, but i could be wrong!!

I have diver’s silicone already. What I need is the aerosol can but I don’t know the difference between Silicone Spray and DRY silicone spray and nobody seems to. I looked everywhere.

scuba shops sell divers slicone, i think straight shooters also carries it.

It is used on the breech end of the barrel FOR the orings that live there.
Your breech has two orings one that must be free to slide on the barrel when the gun is fired. so…. divers silicone……
