DIY cheek rest
has anyone experimented with a DIY cheek piece for the AF bottle. Any input would be bliss. Thanks in advance!

I built a couple of these from sheets of ABS plastic. I made the form and measured the circumference with a fabric tape measure and cut the plastic to size. I then heated the ABS with a hot air gun that is used for stripping paint. Once the plastic began to soften I layed it over the form and shaped it with gloved hands.
The form was made from a piece of 3″ ABS sewer pipe, wooden dowels and thin aluminum flashing. Nothing fancy but it works. You can alter the height of the cheek piece tightening the zip ties. The cheek piece can also be rotated to change the center point.
You could take it one step further and add some very thin closed cell foam ( 1/16 – 1/8″).
The cool thing about the ABS is that it can be reheated and reformed until you get just what you want. If you can’t find ABS Kydex will work too.
Sure is i see you have the ST barrel for it now please keep me informed how it runs with it , i too are interested in same barrel for my Storm/talon .

I’ve thought about the TT tank cover, but I’d have to cut the butt off do to my guns BR stock, I just need something on the bottle for a constant and consistent point so I’m looking in the scope the same way every shot. In BR a 1/8″ can be win or lose… Here’s my gun setup if you have any suggestions I’m game. I thought about a bean bag on the tank held by a black sock over the tank… I’ll play with it when I get some time.
I’ve seen various DIY jobs Lurker of “varying quality”. If I was doing one it would involve Velcro so you could adjust it, remove it and install it with ease. I would have a look in sports shops for something that looks good in black. You know like those wrist support things, maybe you could adapt. Let us know how you get on.
Some use a pellet holder pad minus the pellets.
The Talon Tunes tank cover cheek rest is the best I’ve seen and used.
I used it along with the TT Tank Adapter but cus I don’t bend well at the neck and am using low scope rings on an adjustable drop mount, i had to go a bit different.
I use the TTTA AND THE STRAP ON WOK BUTT. Actually I have the WOK BUTT MOUNTED low and angled off to the right side. That helps bring the tank over and up enough that it allows me to get a decent cheek weld against the tank.
The TT Tank Cover looks way better than my offset arrangement but my way works with my stiff neck.
