Q:

DIY rifles

Hi,
I’ve been reading this forum for two years, registered a couple of months ago… and has now finally got around to write my first post. Anyway, thanks to all for loads of info and inspiration! I really hope that i dont mess up the picture posting…
heres a few pics of some of my home built air guns;
This was the first one i built. Built after blueprints from Mr HM Buckleys book.

next up was a bullpup version, here pictured unfinished. It si now sporting a 15shot magazine (i’ll see if i can find a better pic..)

this one has a side lever oprated bolt, transfer port design ad modum Steyer… Since this picture I have built an adjustable butpad..
I have also made an adaptor so that i can fit a 600cc bottle and fill it useing a FX fill probe.

All the working parts of my guns are designed by ( or very much inspired by..) the work of mr HM Buckley, UK.
Thanks

I think he has a little more than a drill press. 😆

Sure are a lot of talented people here. Nice work!

Wow, how is that for a first post?

I am more than impressed.

Welcome aboard,

Supermono (ducati-ist?) Nice work

I’m working on a Buckley based gun as well, see my “.25 rifle build”

I have both his books and there is lots of info in them.

However I have found some of his dimensioning in the new book to be lacking.

I went the bottle gun route as I had a bottle laying around after I sold my Talon SSC

Dave, Mr. Buckley’s triggers are simple to say the least

there are more pictures of Supermono’s rifle and build here http://airgundevelopment.com/custombuild/schaefer.html

WOW 😯 😎

Those are looking beautiful.

I would make my own but I just fucking hate doing triggers, maybe I should get myself a copy of H.M Buckley’s book.

I definatley see me making one of the first rifles in my future

Dave
