No rest for the wicked as my mother used to say :-/
Time for some more DIY…
Today it the lathe’s turn (pun intended) to work and it resulted in a degas tool al รก B&O style.

This is what I was thinking about…
ID of spring is bigger than the treads and I’m not sure if the flange on the nylon guide stand up to the spring tension at full power..?
Therefore I left the clips in place and the 0.7mm extra headroom for the spring doesn’t do any for the .22 anyway maybe different on the .25

Don’t be stupid. Of course you can use the brass screw for adjustment without the clip. Think ! Done thinking? Still don’t get it??
The hole inside the guide does’t have to go all the way thru but to meaaure just in right so you can still use it as an adjuster. That shortish piece you have there now doesn’t accomplish anything ( just ask your girlfriend) the plain screw itself won’t .

Those pieces are exactly like the guides i already have. Back to the drawing board Mr. Know -it- All…

Seriously – you loose some adjustment at the lower echelon of the scale but does that really matter since no one , except UK & German guys, need to go that far down anyways.

Why? If you take away the e-clip then you take away the adjusting capabilities of the brass adjuster. Are your “needs” met with only being able to adjust with the outer one and using the brass thread as a spring guide? Okay but do U know how difficult it is to make a hose in the lathe? Mc D’s drinking straws might work or if you find some aquarium type PVC type hose ๐Ÿ˜‰

One thing – loose the lock ring from the brass adjuster so the Delrin part (the guide inside the spring) can be made approx 20mm long and itยดll be perfect. And while at it make one for Papa too. Now – back to the Lathe and stay there untill my guide is done. :2:

quote LTLurker:

DK that is some really nice work. It is for a Cricket gauge only or does it work for an Edgun as well?

Cricket only. Edgun has a different construction and there’s no need for a special tool.

My Dear Doctor Evil…..

A “Flash Supressor” for an air gun??? Have you taken leave of your Swedish wits?

Is Fredrick behind this?….some evil FX trick?

Dear ol Uncle ๐Ÿ˜›
I know you don’t remember but that’s not your fault…
I’ve switched from diesel to bio ethanol and the smoke is gone but the flash is not ergo a “flash Supressor” ๐Ÿ’ก

Itยดs Docยดs idea of a nutcracker/bong combo. He calls it “The Blooming Onion” ..

Nice big pellet trap! But when looking at the surroundings it’s probably not, rather a shooting patio…

(Btw with Cr V steel and a hobby lathe with HSS tools it takes some time but I’m not in a hurry)

I like your work

this is what I made once

as you can see, I am working on it hard

I’d like to try and make one.
