Do they sell 16" barrel or would I cut down a 18"
Do they sell a 16″ barrel for the AF guns or would I have to buy a 18″ and cut it down? What concerns would there be in cutting down a 18″ barrel? This is for my Talon ss by the way that has a frame extender so I figure a 16″ barrel should work fine.

You’d have to cut the 18 down. Just make sure to find someone who knows what they are doing and can recrown it and you’ll be in business.
What length frame extender do you have? I have an SS w/ 18 inch barrel and 6 inch extender shroud and the barrel works perfectly inside this combination as is…..

Don’t bother with the re-crown. If you cut from the muzzle you will destroy the choke. Simply cut from the breach end, and turn down in a lathe for the hammer and breach. Any gunsmith can do it. 😀
