Do you guys use the Yellow forum BOI or dealer BOI?
On a lark, I went and searched the BOI and the dealer BOI for my name and also Surefire Slugs. Nothing, NADA, zip, zilch, less than something…..
Having just recieved another repeat order, it occured to me that maybe we had made a reputation for delivery of decent product as promised. I think we may have the reputation, but not any documentation of it.
When you guys buy something, do the sellers ask you to post BOI comments? I’ve never done that, seemed kinda tacky or somehow cheesy to me. But looking at the BOI, it seems that either the comments are bad or there are multiple goods that somehow seem to come in waves. I’m probably imagining things but it seems that someone might have had something good to say without prompting… I guess I should just shut the f*** up and be happy I have not been trashed for some late order or what not but I got curious…
Actually, I got curious just after I sent an apology to a guy for taking 2 weeks to get his order in the mail. We are usually a lot faster than that but a big order and a difficult order screwed up our production “line.” I sent 50 9 rings on top of the order by way of apology but then got to thinking, “what if this fellow who sent his money was expecting the 4-6 day turn-around we usually meet and missed a shoot or hunting opportunity because we were slow this time?
I’m glad we didn’t get trashed, not that I expected anyone to trash us withyout at least sending an email to explain how we were screwing up, but it got me to thinking… Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!

I generally ask folks if they’d like for me to leave feedback on them and if so, under what name… some folks dont like for you to use their full name, some do want their full name….. who knows?
In any case, I obviously missed you on our transactions so that is now corrected.

It is kind of like a feedback thing on ebay. You buy or sell something to someone, and you post on there and tell how good or bad that person was during the transaction.

I almost never go over to they yeller forum, I just can’t handle that layout. 😆
I will usually say something in our good/bad guy list if it’s something from a member that’s not too known, but if I got something from say, wok, I probably wouldn’t bother just because it wouldn’t be news to anyone that he is a good guy to buy from.
I also post on the BOI when i buy on the yellow, but not when it’s on TAG. Guess i should be. Makes sense.

If I buy something here I generally wont post on a BOI unless I know the other guy sells on the Yellow, if I buy from Yellow I leave BOI without prompting and usually get nada in return.

i like when they do for me it shows my transaction history and a lil about my character
I have sold lots of items but only a handful have left anything on the BOI.
I try to leave feedback in batches over there. Some may slip through but it is always good to have feedback.

I’ve had my share of issues with the yellow but I wouldn’t say “to Hell with them” (anymore). I think Steve has done a good job of making the place more friendly and has muzzled the pompous blowhards pretty well. I even post from time to time when I think I have something to contribute. Just the other day I posted some high speed video of springer shots to demonstrate barrel/scope flex or the lack of it. It didn’t draw much comment besides a couple thank yous, but that’s fine. Most of the audience there is not interested in esoteric observations and that’s fine. The guys that were interested got to see what they suspected…or not.

I didn’t mean to make anyone feel put out or anything, I was just wondering as some of our sales have come from folks on the yellow. Not many though as few there seem to care for high power except for the new guys fascinated with fps claims. I used to update the classifieds there with Surefire ads but since 99% of the guys with high power .25s are here, I figured, “why bother?”
