Do you Lap your rings?
I should have asked this before my purchase.
How many of you lap your rings? On other forums I found most people do, some say its a waist of time and other will only buy Burris signature rings with insert which must not require it.
How about in the airgun community, do any of you?
I bought a weaver scope lapping set, is that too cheap of a set if I’m going to use it?

It used to be that lapping rings was a way to increase surface area to the scope tube and holding power for recoil (for springers this could be true). For PCP airguns that isn’t really necessary. Many rings even cheap ones like UTG now have rubber/fiber inserts making it unnecessary as well. Most are good enough quality that it doesn’t do much. If the rings are off or not smooth I would get better rings. You only need to snug the bolts down on a PCP airgun scope.
When I shot competitive bench rest we always lapped the rings.

Another idea would be adjustable elevation one piece scope mounts.
Or adjustable elevation 11mm to ? Weaver scope mount
