Dodge Collar or split collar
Yea it’s me again but this time I do think I have a good Idea but keep in mind oh yea the new guy again I know! anyway I have read several post on taking off air valve’s I haven’t got to this point yet! anyway seems like they do usually come off hard and I can understand why with the thread set up and the pressures we are dealing with. Anyway I measured the tanks collar mine is 1.250 so I am thinking they make collars just like that one in several sizes also they make split collars! ok my thinking is buy one of these shaft collars or dodge collars 1.250 slip it over our tank collar get a longer bolt to replace the set screw in the collar you just bought tighten it down inside the hole with no threads hit it like walk suggested in a thread I read to break it loose if that doesn’t work get out your nasty pipe wrench and get ugly with it and you won’t hurt the collar on the tank at all. Well just an idea thought I would put this out there and see what the pro’s have to say! maybe this has been done allready.
