Q:

Does anyone know what scope i should get????

I have a 3-9×40 Nikon Prostaff with the BDC reticle and I really need something with more mil-dots so i can make accurate shots at long ranges. I was thinking about getting a Hawke or a MTC. Any suggestions? ❓

Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x with side wheel focus and fine duplex reticle yum yum 😀

I really like my Hawke 6-24X56 SR12. I use their BRC software and, at 24X, It ranges out to 106 yards. At the lower powers, you can range out a lot farther.

You can get the BRC software free from the Hawke website. You might want to try it, it is a little strange to get use to. As you change numbers the software will change other settings, you have to keep an eye or it. Once you get it figured out, it work really well.

I use it on my EdGun. It wasn’t spot on when I first tried it. I had to do a little adjusting of the numbers that I input. Once adjusted it seemed to be spot on at all yardages and powers.

I like my Hawke but, it is big and heavy. I would like to have a Bushnell 4200 or 6500, they are lighter, more compact and have a little clearer optics.

If I got either of those scopes, I would have to give up the Hawke Reticle and the BRC software. I don’t want to do that.

The Hawk and MCT are both good choices! 😉
If you dont’ mind a step down on optics quality from the two above the leapers is a less expensive route.

The Leapers have 6 dots…..Well the 4-16X56 and 8-32X56….Also try
using Chairgun to figure out where to zero your scope to best utilize the
whole range of mil-dots…
