Your guy needs to rethink. If he’s got a laser engraver he should be able to change his settings to engrave any metal from 26 guage steel all the way up to thicker material by lowering or raising the power. That’s odd he would tell you that. ….Actually, perhaps he’s right. Are the plates thin aluminum or thin steel? I don’t know much about laser engraving aluminum. It may be a whole different animal when it comes to engraving thinner aluminum. I’ve never done it before.

Yea ,Thanks Zonk and Greg, LOL
The guy did not want to mess with them, Everything seemed to be OK until told them it was gun parts,
Then it was , The metal is to thin,

Being that these fellas got ya pegged, have your laser engraver guy engrave the logo of your favorite brand of liquor. Just make sure he’s not drunk and up the power and burn through the plate.

15 years ago I ran our then 4,000 watt co2 laser, the Bystronic Bystar 4020 with Bycell and that thing could engrave on low power and cut up to 3/4″ steel plate. Now we’ve got a 6,000 watt laser at our work.

Looked just like this but ours was all orange.

Only one, put them on your guns before you lose them! I know how you are after a night of drinking!
