DRAGONSLAYER NOISE LEVEL…9MM VS .45 ?
Iam pumped about one of these Moose guns….. 😆 but Iam concerned about noise…are they like rimfire or worse ? I understand they are threaded for a shroud…who has um ?
I have sum one close by that is a BEEOTCH….big time !

All I know is my SY 909 dual tube is LOUD. I wear earplugs when I’m shootin’ it. Otherwise it makes my ears ring.
they sound like rifle being fired….my 457 (@450-550 fpe)talon was louder than my 17 hmr….which was louder than my .22lr
when i have shot those rifles, i have allways found the 45-50 cal to be more boomier than the 9mm (and .308 guns)
they are equally hard to muffle….the 45-50 has a shitload of air you gotta stop….the 9mm/.308 has a high pitched sound the air rushing out makes
50cal = 50cal, not 45 or 22 or 9mm, etc,

thats sort of encouraging, sound behind the weapon is funny though….its hard to compare that with sum one to the side of it at a distance….I would have to practice with it or at least site it at a range…..it is a lengthy drive to such a place from where I am….what sort of groups are you getting at what yards ?

I have a 201s and a 909 44/45 and buy standards say the same . They sound like a .22lr with out the crack . The 201 groups at 3/4 to a inch at 50 yards . And now that I can shoot at 65 yards I dont think it is going to change . I just got the 909 so I can not say . The big thing is getting the right diameter bullets . The 201 is subpose to be 9mm but mine is a .357 . The 909 44/45 is what it says a .454 but the single tube ones and most of the older 909 were .457-.458 from what I have been told . Randy has the lowest price I have found on the 909 44/45 . The 909 44/45 dual tube has about a 380 cc air supply and the 909s is only 245 I think .Good luck Marvin

Shooting indoors if my condor is a 7 on a sound scale of 1 to 10 my Dragon is a 9. Just a little louder than the condor. Neither one warrants ear plugs, however.
This is from the perspective of the shooter. A bystander about 25 yards away told me my modded 909 sounded like a rock thrown into a concrete wall, when I was shooting into a canal surrounded by fairly open ground.
I try to remember to use earplugs when target shooting in the woods, but don’t feel the need to use them on open ground.
Ya know the talons are usually louder at impact than at the muzzle….I can imagine with the dragon if you hit sunthin solid its going to loud as hell..
I used to shoot black powder….the big slugs pack a freekin whallop ! 😆 😆
When in thick cover, they are close to a .22LR in noise, but without the sonic crack. Out in the open desert, the sound can’t really bounce around much, and seems much quieter.

definatly…..if you think the neighbors might mind….with or without muffler the neighbors will be looking to see what your up to if they hear it just a bit
your better off with a shrouded .25 talon or something
