Drill bit size?
Gonna do the Yellow Ninja’s trigger mod. This requires tapping 2 holes for 2 10-32 screws. What size drill bit is needed, and should a lead hole be drilled first.
Is kerosene a good cutting fluid for drilling aluminum?

Alcohol is a very good lub for drilling in Alu. and there is virtually no clean up compared to oil! 😉 😀

It gives all the sizes of drill, taps, SAE, METRIC etc.
It cost $2
I use it all the time and it works faster then a huge chart

I finally got the courage to try this mod, I used 8-32 set screws and it works great! (I used that size because that was the size tap/drill I had on hand)

Very smooth now. I also took out the trigger pieces and polished the sides of them and put a thin film of oil on the pieces. They were rusty and not very smooth in their movement. The guy I got my gun from must have gotten it wet. Man, the trigger is so smooth now and breaks with very little pull. I love a light trigger.
Thanks: Yellow Ninja. I had the 5/32 drill bit on hand. Stopped by the hardware store and purchased a 10-32 tap and set/grub screw.
I don’t have a drill press, electric drill or shop vice? So I taped the part to a 1 by 4 piece of cull wood. Used my manual hand drill to drill and tap the part. I used the 10-32 tap because it wont break as easy as the smaller taps. Used a 1/4″ long 10-32 grub screw, which may be a bit short. @ final adjustment, it’s just below the surface. I like that because it’s out of site?
I installed the over travel adjustment today. Actually only bought one set screw, doh! I’ll pickup another set screw tomorrow.
Not gonna drill a hole in the frame until I have access to a shop vice and electric drill and Tap handle. 😯
Now going to shoot a few holes in paper before more rain falls.

If you have numbered bits its a #21, fractional size is 5/32.
It doesnt have to be a 10-32, smaller is perfectly fine – I just used what I had on hand for set screws.
Center punching the position is a good idea so the drill bit doesnt walk, but doesnt need pilot hole.
Any kind of oil will be fine for aluminum.

FWIW…if you’ll look on the shaft of tap you just bought , it more than likely has the drill bit size to use stamped on it 😀 😀 😀
