Easy valve removal tool that most of you probably have
An easy valve removal tool is to get a die wrench (Cant remember the size) and thread a bolt through the hole into the wrench and into the blank hole on the tank
Very easy to do and leaves no marks left on the tank

All info is wanted and needed.
If I can run down and buy a Tap wrench and take off the valve the same day then that is what I would do.
Jim tool is great. But sometimes I want my shit fixed now brother! 😀

Anyway, both methods work as good as each other. If you have the time, by all means get the removal tool.
But if you are a “Tool” kind of person then a die holder will work well.

MM is not the person who has made the removeable tool, I got 1 made from Metal Head long before MM started it.

I wrote this waaaaay back before I even knew about MM’s valve removal tool.
You seem to be suggesting that I am taking away business from MM, but I am in ne way in doing so

Yes if your outside the USA and you have to pay postage to Jim Gaska/Marmot militia to get his for what 9 or 10 us? And you already have one.
When I went to remove my valve the first time and looked the job over, a die wrench was the first thing that came to mind.
But if you live in the good old USA, and do not own one already, and have no need to ever thread a bolt or anything like that, Jim Gaska’s removal tool is still the best option.
Yeah I know for you metal surgeons, it is hard to imagine.
I know even with these two fine choices, folks will still go after it with a pipe wrench 🙄

Seeing as though the valve body is 1 1/4″, a 1 1/2″ one will do fine

Do you know name/made/model? several peoples told me about this, but unable to find it online 😳
Or just buy the entire set, sure it will fit in 1 of them? 😆 😆 😆
