Ed, I was wondering what the status of current Lelya production was…
Are they on hold, being produced in lower quantities or still going as usual?

Ed, will you be filling the existing orders in place? I’ve been waiting 7 months+ and its kind of disappointing finding out now you’re suspending shipping lelyas to the us. Ive passed up a couple of good deals waiting for my lelya not knowing when id get the email. To find this out now is kind of unfair to those that placed their orders before you made that decicion. Can you please consider filling the orders that Tony took before today?

And ED is right, – the breech does pull back just a little but nothing to be concerned about……. 😉
Lelya and Veles are difficult to produce, they cost me almost the same money as Matador but due to their sizes I cannot sell them for the same price 🙂 so the profit of Matador sells is more then of Lelya or Veles sells. Besides they have a design defect with the breech, it goes back a little bit in the moment of shooting, I can fix it when the gun is in Russia, but that is impossible to do it when the gun is out of Russia. So there could be complaint from the users and minus of the reputation due to inability to fix it from my side. I don’t need it, so I decided not to sell them out of Russia, sorry guys 🙂 Those, made for Russian market are sold out long before they produced.

Tony posted an answer on another topic where this came up, and stated the Lelya was on indefinite hold while the production facilities tended to the shortage of Matadors on back order.
I’m guessing a year or more before you get your hands on one. It’s long enough that I took my name off the Lelya waiting list and went back to the R3 list.

What you say makes sense and i’d like to know if I should continue to think I may see it someday or if i’ll be doing the Zocoloco wait. 😉
If this topic falls back down through the list i’ll just assume that the model’s production has been cut due to Matador demand.
Pity, would be nice to have some type of 177 EdGun to have for competitions.
We are both chopped liver.
The next Lelya that will come out is unlikely to make it to the U.S. anyway.
Ed probably has a year’s back order on his Matadors, and that’s money waiting to be gathered in. I doubt if he’s going to spend any time on Lelyas for quite awhile.
That’s a shame.

Now sell me your Lelya at less than what you paid, and perhaps…just perhaps, a merciful God might forgive you, or at least set you up in one of the cooler pits in hell. I can’t guarantee anything until the Lelya is in my hands. I have friends in low places.
