Edgun .25 .30 metal valve stem update mod #3 L@@K
Well 2nd mod didn’t hold up after the 1st shot.
So what got me thinking why is the Cricket valve so reliable — I mean I tested it on my 80fpe .25 pushing the reg pressure to 150b–so I ended up grinding a new cricket valve stem—what I notice it had long Delrin and wasn’t bounded on, look like it was tightly press on. So we made it the same designed and mod a lighter and shorter valve spring, while testing my fps went up from 880fps to 905fps shooting 44g that’s 80fpe, 50g to 865fps at 83fpe. I have 28 tins of .30 to full test the new steam.

Good work! I would have never guessed the Cricket stem was made like that. I guess that large delrin spacer cushion takes the larger impact better. No wonder those Crickets are so resilient. I wonder if Ed is looking at these posts.
Thanks for the update and photos. Do you see any advantage in running the metal pin all the way through the delrin into the stainless steal delrin seat? It seems as though that would limit the movement of the pin and make a more durable product. But what the hell do I know. Please keep up the good work. I will be on the short list for a few of the valves as soon as the R & D is done…….
