82 yd brain scrambler. Nice quartering shot to his just visible dome in the tall grass.
His big ears gave him away by downed oak. Sounded like a firecracker when pellet impacted.
Knocked him right over and legs kicked for about 4-5 seconds then done.

That is awesome. I have yet to take any Jacks with my new .25 std. The farm that I do most of my pesting seems to have everything but Jacks. Jacks are so hard to come by around here!! Great shot by the way!!!! They’re pretty sketchy too.
Plenty of squirrels though and I’ve really been stretching her legs out. I keep saying to myself ..that was a lucky shot!! I shot a tiny little juvy ground squirrel at 101 yards…then his buddy comes and checks him out after I put him down then again and again and again!!! A total of 6 squirrels out of that one hole!!! I couldn’t believe it. It was dead on. My question though….. How do you spot your targets the size of a squirrel or cotton tail at 100+ yards?? I’m using my laser rangefinder to scan the horizon to find my targets then after identifying I’ll shoulder my rifle and just use the scope but that’s after using the rangefinder. Do any of you have a better method?? spotting scope? Binoculars?
I agree. His eye was even covered by the tall grass And being only the top of his head was exposed that was my target.
When I retrieved him I saw how small his head was in relation to his ears and body and my thumb covered the spot I was aiming at,appx 1″high by 2″ wide I was even more pleased with the shot.
30-40Y shot is too easy for this gun. Nice 80Y.

I popped three grey squirrels with .25 Predators from my std Matador this morning in about 5 minutes. They were from 35-40 yards and the hits were devastating. Two were head shots but one was running and I gut shot with a hit that left a ball of guts protruding on one side and killed him anyways. My neighbor gets the meat and the tails go to Mepps Lures.
