EDgun and JSB pellet comparison
I shot some groups with JSB 18.1gr and 15.9gr to see how they would
group. I had the gun clamped in the bench rest. The target is out @ 65yds
I didn’t measure the groups but you can get an idea of which one shoots
the best

And the 18.1’s are consistently the best… I get it and don’t want to start any arguments. I’ll bet many (if not most) folks will agree that you can’t count on one pellet even from gun to gun, even seemingly identical guns.
I don’t expect these to be better but they MIGHT be for my needs. If they are close, I might be able to turn down the power, get more shots and put a smile on my face. Or, it may backfire. Oh well. Not everyone wants/needs max FPE on impact. I’m just having fun (the only reason I own airguns btw).
I am not sure if you want to waste money/times to try difference pellets, EDgun has tested their gun with all pellets, the best pellets for EDgun is JSB, they tuned the gun with JSB as their standard.
Matador (All Edtion) ==> JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.1 Grains, Domed.
Veles (All Editon) ==> JSB Diabolo Exact Heavy .177 Cal, 10.2 Grains, Domed.
Note:
Everytime you switch difference pellets type, make sure to shot approximate 20 shots through the barrel in-order for it to calibrate itself with new pellets and giving you best group after the first 20 shots for everytime you switch pellets. Do the same if you want to switch back to the JSB pellets.
EDgun recommented to clean the barrel every 500 shots to maintains the maximum performance and accurate. Myself, I am using the Otis cleaning kit below, it work best and easy to clean the barrel without damage the bore. You can make your owned cleaning if you have the right material similar to the Otis cleaning kit.

quick note – I ordered some JSB 13.43’s (black labeled tin) to try in my CO2 guns. Broke them out when the family left. Needed to unwind a little 😉
They did very well in the CO2 guns. Got about 25 fps back in my 65 degree basement compared the 14.3’s. This was in the Crosmans. The CO2 Talon has been shooting a bit higher but currently has a .177 barrel and I didn’t feel like swapping in the .22 barrel.
Just for kicks I put a handfull through the EDgun. This was only at 20y but they grouped every bit as well as the 18.1’s. The 15.9’s and 14.3 CP’s were not as good even at 20y (although the cp’s were very close). Of course we are talking about very small differences because all the groups were pretty good .
Also, while my gun is shooting 18.1’s in the 860’s – the 13.4’s were cruising at 1060+. Most of my shooting is at targets and under 50y so I’ll be testing these out to 50+ this weekend.

Sounds good… I might buy some if I didn’t have 20,000 rounds of 18.1gr already.
They are the Poly Tiped ones. The first generation were so-so. But the later generation were tack drivers in my 18″ bbl. when I had it in the SS.

rounds….I am never opposed to shooting… I’ll shoot all you want to
send, at what ever yardages you want to see…. Heck yea….
Those 18’s are kicking butt!
You may be supprosed at the prids. I had great results with them at 100 yds. before switching to the .25. 😉

I think mine is same… I have not tested 16.0gr for speed yet
is around 900 fps with 16grain pellet

I totally agreed with you, I did it myself also, I bought tons difference pellets to try out, I ended up go back to the JSB pellets after 2 months of works 😳
Anyway, I just want to let you know in advanced and provided some tips when you playing with it 😆 😆 😆
