Edgun bags worms!
Bagworms 70 feet up a tree. Too high to reach with a ladder. Tree lasered at 60 feet from where I’m sitting, I rested Edgun fore grip on deck rail. Leapers Scope on 12 power. Pellet were 14.5 grain Crosman Premiers I was trying to use up. Scope was zeroed in at 45 feet, with 18 gr JSB pellets. Aim was dead on center of crosshairs. Apologies for the blind left eye drifting a bit in the pic.
Limb measured 3/8th inch diameter at widest point. one shot took the top half of the limb off. Second shot took bottom half of the limb off. Third shot clipped middle out, but the limb was left hanging by a 6″ long bark “hanger” strip, shown in next picture.

Bark hanger strip measured 1/8″ wide at point of pellet impact at 90 degree angle from me. One shot to clip the branch off at the 1/8″ wide point. Note the pellet’s upward angle on the hanger strip shown sideways in the picture. Four honest shots total, and….I don’t even have the new barrel.

Thanks 80Grit. A few good words go a long way when you speak to the right man about a problem. My eye is getting much better each day.
Thanks Ed, for letting me experience the maximum shooting potential from my remaining one cloudy-visioned eye.
