Q:

EdGun Bolt Removal

Am I right to assume you have to take apart the breech to get the bolt
out? You can’t just loosen the hex screw on the back of the bolt? I just want to give the bolt a good cleaning.
Thanks….Matthew

Once you have the rear breach removed, you can clean the barrel while it is still mounted. If you remove the barrel, it can somtimes be a PIA to get it lined up correctly.

Thanks OG. I watched Ed’s youtube video to see how to do it. Mine as
well tear it all apart and give it a good cleaning and lube.

Yep. You will have to remove the rear breech/bolt assembly. Cock the gun first then just take out the 2 screws at the rear of the assembly and slide it backwards. Once off, you have to remove the small allen hex head bolt, on the underside of the assembly, and then the bolt will slide out.

If I am going to have the assembly off for a while, I uncock the gun. You can either dry fire it or, using a wood block, push back on the hammer, pull the trigger and ease the hammer forward. If you dry fire it, it will be very loud as the air will come out the rear of the breech.
