Q:

EDgun Chrony String

I got the Avg. FPS from a Combo and the rest from a Chrony
JSB 18.1gr
Avg FPS = 904
ES = 17
SD = 3.46 for the first 32 shots
SD = 5.29 for the last 15 shots with the last 2 shots being slow due to
falling off the reg…..
So total full shots from one fill was 45….

The FPS being recorded by the Chrony was an average of 926… 22FPS
higher than the Combro @ 904FPS…

I have also found that the gauge on the EDgun is quite a bit lower than
the gauge on my SCBA tank….To get the EDgun gauge to read 200bar, I
have to fill to 220bar/3,200psi on my SCBA gauge

Did some testing and tuning this morning… To make sure I wasn’t
waisting my time, I clamped the gun in my bench rest and started
shooting with the Combro attached….. The gun was showing the potential
of being a tack driver but would act up now and again and start spraying
pellets all over the place @ over 900FPS so I started lowering the FPS
about 10FPS at a time…. I am now set at about 1/2 turn out from the
factory setting on the main spring adjustment screw….

This is 10 shots @ 65yds with the gun set at an average of 890FPS.
That ain’t gonna cut it.

This is 10 shots @ 65yds with an average FPS of 876

And this is 10 shots @ 80yds with an average FPS of 876
!!!!!!!!!!!W H A T ???? !!!!!!

80% rain all day 😥

When you have an EDgun, this is great news….

Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. High around 70F. Winds light and variable.

Pull the single screw out ahead of the trigger and gently rock the main mechanism out of the stock. Look at what’s in there, the whole gun is essentially air tube. The Russians are rocking on these air guns. Bring on the semi auto !!

When I fill my Edgun I get the same thing. I run the guage on my SCBA tank to 3200psi to get the Edgun tank’s guage to read 200bar. Thanks again NJ for the neoprene material.

It is an amazing piece of work…. I have never seen anything like it
either. When the word gets out on this thing, the major manufacturers are
going to be hurting….
I saw some discussions about the EDgun from way back in 2006…
Edward was talking about having it marketed in Germany and was trying
to get someone to distribute it in the US… It was going for $1,000.00
back then…

Ok self, time to start saving for your Christmas present… 😆 Toss up between a 6.5×47 Lapua conversion of a .233 XR100 or the EdGun… 😡

Thanks Jeff For Posting That String, I’m baffled at the Edguns Performance, I hear that there is some type of self stick neoprene available to enhance the comfort level while shooting in colder climates, and rumor has it, it tightens up the group sizes too…!! javascript:emoticon(‘:4’)

Yes there surely is a neoprene self sticking material available…A guy
sent me some for freeFOR FREE I tell ya!!What a guy….. :8

I use the gauge on the scuba tank, I fill until the gauge on the scuba tank reads 2200, that gives me a reading of 200 bar on the Edgun’s gauge. 45 good shots on such little air is awesome, a huge difference in Air Efficiency compared to the Airforce.

Heck yea noodles….I have a never seen that many shots out of an air
tube….. It is massively efficient…… FX Cyclone got about 20 and the
Beeman Falcon, and Sportsman HV get about 16…. Even my BSA S10
with a 200cc bottle only gets around 30 and it is regulated…
I can’t figure out how big the EDgun tube is but this is what it says on the
website
Reservoir capacity (cm3) 289
