I have actually lost money on the 2 Matadors that I sold. I could have got more money but, I wouldn’t feel right doing so.

i too have 6 edguns new for sale $7500 each ,had 10 just 6 left. the wealthy love to have nice things.

As for premium, I’ve paid my fair share and won’t discuss it because I chose to pay for it. Very simple, want it now, pay for it. I’m gun collector myself and don’t really shoot much. I respect Ed for keeping his word because I’ve been on a waiting list ever since I heard about the Edgun. Didn’t get the gun I wanted but o well this will do.

BTW the Edgun r2.5 cost me a premium from a yellow user.

i needed to make room for r3, not sell to pay for r3 the r3 is already paid for i just didnt need two edguns to go with my collection, one will do just fine. wow funny how people assume.

OK…since ED let the cat out of the bag, I’m the one that paid $5000 for my R3 long.. Just had to have it. But financial hardship has befallen me. I’m forced to sell it now. Considering my Current situation, I’ll let it go for a loss and I’m only asking $4500.00 just so I can pay some bills. Just PM and we can make it happen for you.

And after that someone dares call Russians bloody tricksters!? I am told as “Jews cried when Ed was born” but even me wouldn’t catch that so quickly and smart! 🙂 Bingo! 🙂

I think pricing on the used ones is more a function of a limited availability market than anything else…….It’s not like you can go pick an Edgun up at the corner store whenever you want, now, is it? You can either wait (a LONG time) for a new one, or pay a premium for a used one right now. And, it’s very obvious that they hold their value well. That particular gun is an R2.5 Long, so it’s not the more numerous and slightly lower priced Standard.

As a matter of fact, I think I’ll join the waiting list for a new R3, and I’ll expect my current R2.5 Standard to sell very quickly for excellent value whenever the new gun arrives.

Edit – just looked at the post on the Yellow, looks like it didn’t last 24hrs before selling………. 😀

Being stupid I always try to keep my word, I lose money by that feature I know but I was taught to live that way. So, the price for my guns used to be 1 650 US dollars, having calculated that I cannot sell the guns for the price it cost me I made a decision to raise the price or to close the US market for me as being unprofitable. So the price grew up to 1 950 US dollars, but Tony had some orders from people already and as those orders were taken based on the old price I cry loudly but have to follow my word, those who has ordered the guns for the old price will have them for that price even in case they didn’t make any prepayment. I lose too much money on it but I consider my word cost much more then any money. So I will not keep a secret that I instructed Tony to get rid as many people as possible from the waiting line based on the old price by any reasonable reason, like someone has no money to pay the gun when it is available etc, thus I want to keep some money 🙂 That is why some people still can have the guns for the lower price when the new ones in the line has to pay higher price.

PS. By the way I know one Matador sold in US for USD 5 000, if the owner of that gun wants he will tell about it himself 🙂

is it wrong when an exotic automobile dealer asks a premium for early delivery of special models?

how about the service fees paid for an expeditied Passport?

If you don’t want to wait patently in line you will Always pay premiums 😉

well said riverside ,besides this gun has had some mods done to it that i think are worth something, to be honest i have two grand in this gun and was going to pay shipping out of the 2100.00,hopefully i wont lose money on my investment thats why i paid the stiff price for a nice gun in the first place

I thought a new R3 was $1950?

Did I flip the 6 into a 9?

I noticed the phenomenon too. Never seen so many Ed’s for sale than when a new one is on it’s way. Pretty cool actually, speaks volumes to their value to those that have them. 😉

How many 2011 Fords, Dodges, GM’s, Toyotas, Mazdas, Hondas, etc. do you see selling for more than their current MSRP when the new model year goes on sale? 😉

It’s always the right of the purchaser to reject the asking price, if there is someone who will buy it for more than it was originally sold for then that is it’s value.

Shit just look at old muscle cars that sold for under $5k and were never modded and are now selling for ten times that because they are bone stock.

Or antiques from the 1600’s & 1700’s that probably cost less than a dollar selling for hundreds of thousands.
😉

like i said… more power to ya

not at all about “character” GTBJ
the insuation is if you profit by purchase and resale that is somehow bad
sorry, I don’t buy in to the Occupy Wall Street mindset and my Edgun won’t be some I want it now types imaginary entitlement.
I’m just a big bad evil Capitalist Devil 😉

I don’t generally buy things with the plan I will lose money on my investment and that’s what these things are to me…an investment I can enjoy and likely rate a better precentage of interest than if I left 2K moldering in one of my bank accounts at very little interest

for the most part my furnishings, cars, motorcycles ect fall into this classification

well… I for one could not do it and fell good about myself! but for those of you that can, and not have that guilty conscience …..whelp, then more power to you.

… to me it says Alot about ones character
