What is it made out of?

Material is POM-C otherwise known as Acetal Copolymer is an engineered plastic.

it is precisely engineered fit to EDgun fill port.

I was just thinking I may need to go get one of those plastic covers from Home Depot…

Then I realized I HAVE A LATHE NOW I CAN MAKE MY OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicely done part though! :8:

+1

I use a Hillman 5/16″ plastic hole cover. Snaps in and out easily. Two to a pack at Home Depot. Less than a dollar

What is it made out of?

I just put a foam earplug in. It works really well and is extremely cheap to replace.

I have been using a skinny bicycle tube cross sections as a port cover with great success. I cross cut them 1/4 inch at the top and 3/4 inch at the bottom and just slide them over the tube. They do the job, never fall of or get lost and the color is a close match. I walked into a local bike shop and the let me have my pick of their used tubes. You could make about 40 out of one tube. So I recon I have enough for he next 30 years. Wish I could claim credit for this idea but like almost everything else I have done to my R3s, I got the idea on this forum……
