Edgun fill probe help.
Hi, I new to Edgun. I received the .25 Metador standard 2 week ago. I got a chance to fill the probe for the first time today and found there is a BIG leak between the fill probe and the fill port. Did I do anything wrong? I also have another question, Are the fill probe for the .25 and .22 Metador are the same?
Any help is appreciated.

The problem you describe with foster couplings/gaskets for same is veery common unfortunately……..

Hey John,
The same thing happened to me (probably from the same supplier). I thought the fill probe was leaking at an O-ring, but it was where the probe screws into the quick connect adapter. I was able to tighten it down more and no more leaks.
Interestingly, I also got one of the same quick connect adapters for my evanix fill probe, and it is also leaking the same way, but I can’t fix this leak – going to get another quick connect from someone else.

I lubed the probe o rings, but it did not help. I played around with the washer, applied a little soapy water to it. I found the leak at the washer.
I believed I got the wrong foster adapter and o rings. I changed a new foster adapter from my Rapids, problem solved. The original foster adapter was bought from a well known supplier. We will have a talk tomorrow.

I had the same problem on my first Edgun. The fill probe would blow out when the air was turned on.
Solution…apply silicone grease liberally to the fill probe O-rings, and hold the probe in with your fingers the first couple of times you fill the rifle. Mine seemed to straighten itself out after one or two fills. Strange but true.
Try the silicone grease before you go too far afield to find a solution. This has come up more than once with Edgun owners. Grease and hold in a few times and then see if the problem goes away.

I am very sure I did it correctly. Connect the probe to the fill port in the gun,
open the valve at the air tank SLOWLY. Very simple, Cant make a mistake there.
I am going to check the washer between the Hex foster adapter and the brass fill adapter. The rubber seal may be crushed and damaged. I will report tomorrow.

The probe for my 2.0 has always hissed when I fill the gun. I tried new o-ring, silicone grease, etc. No dice. It just wanted to hiss regardless of what I did. The waste [air] is minimal, so I didn’t sweat it. But, I admit that I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I fill up an Air Wolf, Royale, Marauder, or any other gun that uses a standard Foster fitting. They click on, and seal every time – no fuss.
