Yes! That particular pellet is an excellent choice. JSB seems to set the standard for consistent results.
With the Lelya, accuracy is a given. Total shot count is limited due to the size of the air cylinder. So the slightly lighter pellet can achieve a sufficiently high velocity using less air, and still achieve quite adequate foot pounds of energy for small game. That has been my experience.
Other Lelya owners might prefer pellets ranging from 14gr to 21gr, depending on their preference of shooting paper targets vs. shooting pests.
The gun will shoot all weight pellets accurately. The only problem with using a variety of weights is the need to adjust your optics to accommodate the variable point of impact each weight of pellet will present.
Personally, I prefer to find one pellet weight that I feel is best for all around use, and stick with it. Best of all, I know exactly where that particular weight pellet will impact at different distances. Familiarity breeds consistent accuracy!

I’m very please with this scope. Honestly I don’t care about tracking issues of T5Xi was post on Youtube because I only have Airgun and never have a change to shoot at long range (Even airgun are banned in my country). My scope have nothing wrong with parralax, I absolutely love it so far. glass is absolutely amazing and the image is huge in your eye.

I have to wait for 02 years from the day I asked my friend to made deposit to have it on my hand (it’s not only cause late shipping from Ed but also I have to find the way to import Lelya to my country). I think that it deserves to wait :8:

I find it strange there is a wait today to obtain a Russian weapon in Viet Nam.
In ’65 it seemed like every Vietnamese and their dog owned a Russian gun…some owned several! They weren’t bullpups, but they were free.
They had a pretty loud supersonic “Crack”, but at the time none of the owner/operators seemed to mind the noise.
In caliber 7.62 X 39, recommended velocity, for a 124 gr. FMJ, was in the vicinity of 2400 fps. Excellent knockdown results for targets in the 130 – 180 lb (65 – 90 kilo) weight, at ranges of 10 to 100 meter distances. (Having a mass produced “stamped” receiver and loose tolerance barrels, they weren’t very accurate beyond that distance.)
Today, to answer your question, in 5.5mm most people prefer velocity in the 780 to 880 fps range. Personally I’d recommend using 16gr ammo, given the limited air volume. 18.1gr is also very good, but providing fewer shots at that velocity.
