EDGUN OR CRICKET
Edgun or lady cricket,were does your haert lie..??
crickets will be handy with a mag ,but for me edguns are much prettyr to look at .
And the weaver rail on the r3 is pure quality how it flows with the air cylinder. mag or no mag edguns are the real deal, and look the money.
this is in no way to offend cricket owners, but the bug looks cheapish to a edgun,, the breech on the r3 flows with the rest of the meatle work but the sqaure block 😯 on the cricket looks like its just put ther cos thay run out of ideas on how to build it but not copy eds work.. 🙄
im putting my order in for a r3 standerd in 25 cal very soon with
joost from airgun heaven,, as iv come to understand that ther is only one bullpup to own for me and thats a edgun bullpup..

after hearing edgun owners praise these guns ,i think im being swayed slightly for a bug..

1200 Euro is about 1560 USD. We pay $1950 from distributor.

i got a email back fro the guy in the netherlands ,he has them and can ship enytime to me .
In the new year il get a bug from him at 1200.00 euros thats about the same as your paying..

Adam1977 two sources in US 😯 Offical US distributer and another group which has posts here under Edguns and BullPups. I went went the group first. They promised guns on the way but had many delays and excuses for the guns not getting here. When “official” distributer showed up I switch to him for my order. 😎 Guess what ❓ I hace a Cricket that lives at my house and I’ve shot it 😀 . $1950.00 to my door 😆
The slow delivery to the other group selling Crickets was NO fault of their own. I’m really not sure they have their delivery yet 😕 but they are supposed to be on the way here to the US. All I can say is I have mine and several other guys now have their Crickets in hand 🙂 🙂 🙂
I still want an Edgun and I’m on the list for an R3 long BUT I have a Cricket now. Lot to be said about a “bird in the hand”. Rummor has it a shippment of Edguns are due in any time now…. 😯

Hey dwm My Cricket says it’s made in the Czech plant… :thumb: Would I buy another one ❓ you bet. Quality little rifle and with JSB 18’s drives tacks at 35 yards. See my pictures on earlier post of two five shot groups on one target at 35 yards shot off a crapy rest.
Waiting on adapter for the fill probe and this damn cold weather that just blew in to go away for more testing :4: Also has a sweet trigger which is a big plus. They are here now and going fast so get one or :banghead:

Thanks for the info! Zocoloco, I had read your whole previous string on the Cricket vs Edgun. Great stuff! I’ll will go back and revisit it. Guess I just needed to get confirmation from an owner of a Cricket that is actually in the US, and made in the Czech plant.

About 50 good shots on 210bar fill. Suppressor is baffled and very quiet.
I think you can still get a Cricket without the wait.

The silencer is baffled (metal baffles). Kind of difficult to open without a special tool. It works just as well as the one ED has on his gun given the same speed and pellet….
Number of shots: Depending on fill pressure. You can fill EDgun as well as Cricket to 300 bar, – but I would not recommend it. Not because the guns are bad, – but there may be safety issues related to gaskets, fillkits etc. Also filling to 300 bar is bad air economy. You get relatively fewer shots from 300 down to 200 bars than you get from 200 to 100. If you look at the shotstrings shown in my comparison thread you will get an idea. Somewhere around 70 shots from a 230 bar fill should be expected from the Cricket which will deliver fewer shots than the Matador R3 if everything else remains the same……

Glad to hear you like the Cricket so well. I have always wanted an edgun, but the silly wait times just put me off. It sure sounds like the Cricket will be much easier to get. Can you tell us if the Cricket is suppressed well compared to the Edgun and have you looked at the inside of the cricket’s suppressor. I assume it is baffled and not just a tube like the FX guns. And, can you tell us how many 850 fps shots you can get in a fill.

I have a few Edguns =) and love them all!
Just got couple new Cricket and let me tell you. Build quality is probably better on Cricket. It is just perfect looking rifle.
Functions flawlessly. Delivers very consistent shots at 850fps with 18gr JSBs.
