Edgun R3 Valve vs. newer R3.x valve?

Anyone know what is the different between the R3 valve and the newer R3.X valve? Ed mentioned that it’s 10-15% more efficient…….but didnt memtion what are the different/changes.

Also is there any performance/cycle advantage between the R3 breech vs the R3.x aluminum breech?

I can tell you how Ed got that extra 10-15% efficiency with the R3 vs the R2.5 but maybe I shouldn’t :p

The top one is the old version.
On the pic the new valve steel rod is still uncut.

Left the new one.

The holes inside reg are different.
I have old breech on 22 and new breech/reg on 25. Both breeches cycle slick as snot.

The new breech set up is supposed to be smoother in it’s operation.
