Q:

EDGUN R3M— FORUM MAKEOVER

HI Guys
What would a Edgun R3M look like with different clothes on. Lets say we use all other air guns on the market today and take the best parts we know of, to improve this great power plant. My humble
opinion would be to LEAVE EDS barrel ,air tube, valve, hammer , and regulator in place, I believe these parts are very hard to improve, according to all other air guns that are talked about on this Forum its going to be wise to leave them intact.
Ok ,Lets look at the trigger next. according to what I have heard the FX Bobcat has a very good trigger, everybody who has shot it really likes it , very smooth , easy to adjust ,including our friend Ted from Wisconsin. lets put it on.
Next is the fill probe, The only thing I like on the Cricket is the fill probe cover. Lets put that on there.
The Stock is next, The nicest stock that I have seen is on the Vulcan , Its a beauty, nice forearm ,sleek design, Lets slap that on.
Butt Plate. The P12 I had, had a solid rubber butt plate , nice, lets install that to.
Side lever. The smoothest Side lever I’ve seen , owned, and handled is on the Air Arms S510, Buttery smooth it doesn’t get any better than this. put it on.
Mags- Im going to leave this open for the experts here , The EDgun R3m Mag I have now have is not to bad, easy to install , take out , fill, over all I’m happy with mine.
Last but not least, is the Scope Rail. I would also leave this in place. Ed is miles ahead with this design. I don’t think it could be improved much.

Ok What do think, Lets get some feedback, build your own , and send ED the blueprints. :7:

I’d buy an aftermarket carbon fiber or fiberglass stock. esp if it had adjustable LOP.

A trigger upgrade would be nice too.

an externally adjustable velocity adjustment

No one mentioned a carbon-fiber stock. Not solid, but hollow with supports at critical points. You could even fill it with foam to stiffen it up. That would make that stock weigh about 2.0 lbs. That would be a seriously noticeable difference!

Meech great decision. Thats a heck of a price. 500 dollars off on a new one. You won’t be sorry. Thanks for your input guys. Let’s hope Edward stays ahead of the pack and keeps improving his great product. Things made by human hand’s can always be improved.

Me too KS. In fact, I ordered an Rm3 from Tony. I was going to get a lelya but Tony discount was too much for me to pass on.

I like the gun the way it is. My only wish is the gun had a fill port cover

Weight of the Prod lol that would be amazing..

STEYR trigger! forget the bobcat trigger — This is the only thing I’m 100% sure of on this list.
I agree on the AA side lever.. BUT the HW100 side lever should be even smoother since it only feeds the pellet in, it doesn’t rotate the mag..
I would have Steve Corcoran make me a Bullpup stock if thats an option..
as far as the MAG goes- I don’t care. Ive heard Daystates are the best design, but they’re very pricey too.

So heres my Frankenstein..
Edgun action- barrel, airtube, etc.
HW100 side lever action.
Fed by a Daystate Magazine.
Steyr trigger system.
All nestled in a SC custom bullpup Walnut stock. Hell, make it exhibition grade black walnut.. :biggrinn:
and since all this is make-believe, have it all weigh in at under 5lbs. :8: :8:

How about the weight of a prod? Haha

Thanks 101. I can’t believe only one reply in 135 views.

Good thinking. How about side cocking like HB and power adjuster on AA?
