Q:

Edgun R3M upgrade kit?

I thought I read somewhere that we would be able to upgrade our single shot rifles with the new magazine kit, no? If so any reason why this can’t be done?

Well, I would trade my R3 .25 single shot breach for the R3M breach, and even add some cash, but I have an early R3, not a late one.

Is it the SS single shot ? That´s the best of them all – keep it damn it !!
If i had one of those new and “improved” alu – SS i´d trade breeches in a heart beat was someone interrested of that trade. If i had the new MS i´d trade it for a SS single shot AND add money in the mix if needed. :suprisedn:

Yes, that’s the one. You could be right, but it so much fun to get NEW toys . . . .

Well, I have a .22 and a .25 long R3. Both are the latest of the R3 and are single shot. Both guns are in brand new condition and never been shot, even by me. I wanted to converted to R3M, but I am having second thought.

If some one is looking for a single breech and could not find one, It may be better to trade with someone or buy a my Edguns. I have other guns that are multishots and like to keep my Edguns traditional single shot. You guys can look it up in the for sale section soon,

John

What about the other way around?

Is there any kits to make an R3M single shot available yet? Or would you also need a new breech?

No kit available to make R3M into R3, Parts to do this are said to be discontinued…

Not you too Doug. I thought you woulda prefer the multi shot breech, but I found more and more shooters prefers the traditional single.

All my Edguns are R3 and single shot, if R3M breech are readily available and reasonably priced, I would like to try to upgrade the multishot breech someday.
Since the single breech is no longer available, I like to keep mine.

Almost all of my other guns are multi shot, but I leave my magazines in the safe when I am target shooting. I studied my chart and mil dot before every hunt. Sometimes I would sit there with an unloaded gun, watching the quarry move around without taking a single shot. I have yo say that there are so many opportunities to take a shot with a guaranty hit, but chose not to.

I used to be a kind of shooter that thinks like “hurry hurry, shoot it or it will disappear”. More often than I like to admit, I would miss the shoot.

Now I think a like this “I am watching you, I will decide when you fall” methodical and calculated.

.25 caliber

I was just headed to the For sale and trade section to advertise for a trade deal…

EDIT, Trade deal in progress already.

What caliber are you looking for.

What I’d really like is to have both for both guns but no dice, I checked with Tony today to see if I could get the R3 assy for the .25 and no dice. I did get an R3 change over last week for the R3M .22 and installed it this evening to shoot it from the bench indoor the rest of the winter. I really like both but I still like the single load traditional deal, I just don’t like change I guess.

Does anybody want to trade an R3M Breech assy. for their late model R3.

I like the single load for bench shooting and multi for hunting and plinking. I wish my R3M 25 was and single load and keep this 22 short as multi.

😕 Wouldn’t you want the multi in .25 for hunting?

I have a newer single shot if you decide to trade plus cash.

No but I would like to buy a single load .25 breech assy.
