I’d do a 1/2 turn to start. The washer stack inside loos like this ()()()()
Have fun.

Yours is different and already set very low, our reference may not work for you. I would take 3:00 as the first guess.

Make a snapshot or note of those washers if you plan to open up the regulator, the orientation matters. I made a mistake there.

Went to the dive shop and got some silicone grease… Just about have the nerve to start taking everything apart.

FC (I had already watched and bookmarked your vid ), Demp, Ernest, Hemn, Veer and everyone who has contributed indirectly, THANKS!!!

Excellent information. I’ll be sure to post a graph and data sheet of the new strings.

One more question.

What is the approximate reduction in velocity for say a half or quarter turn of the reg screw? Mine is set around for a flat shot curve velocity 920/930 fps and I want to get it down to around 880/890. I’d like to only disassemble this thing once if possible.

Would a half turn do it or what? 😀

I have added Ernest’s videos for reference.

I used a smaller size of pvc pipe to push out the regulator, and it works very well and it is cleaner. Here is what I did,
EDgun Taken Apart

Turning reg screw clockwise, deeper into body reduces reg pressure and max fps.
Counterclockwise just opposite obviously. If you’ve never taken reg apart now is good time to do thorough
cleaning, inspection and lube of internal Orings.

Here is a macro photo of the lock screw #2 and adjustment screw #1. its same as cricket CCW to increases the regulator pressure. Screw #2 has reverse thread. Use long flat head screw driver to remove or adjust #1 & 2.
I will be making a detailed Video on removing, adjusting and reassembly on an EdGun R3, had a lot of request to do so. Click on photo to enlarge!

while you have it apart, replace the disk rotor O-rings #1 & #2,

#1 went out on me a mouth ago, was shooting 960fps

Ernest

Yep, but watch out: the slotted screw has reverse thread.
Meaning: you have to turn it clockwise to loosen it.

Regards, Robert.

So you take out the slotted cover screw and adjust the allen head screw under it?

I’ve watched it but it was before I had an EdGun…

Also i’m too lazy to search for it. If I put in “adjusting edgun reg” I get way too many posts. 😉

THANKS!!!!! 😀

Hey brother, did you miss that vid from our Oldgoat?
