edgun regulator life
Hi I want to know how long the Edgun regulator can last? 5 years or 10 years? Is there spare parts such as shims avail. to replace?

I’d love a replacement stock so I can paint it the grey color the matadors normaly came.
I got my first R2.5 22 cal Matador 4 years ago. It was included in Tony’s second shipment of Edguns that made it to the US. It has been shot a lot and the only thing that it has ever needed was O rings for the probe.
IIRC, Tony only got 2, R2.5 25 cal longs for the US. I got one and I tried shooting it in the 950s with JSB 25.4 grain pellets. I found out that the air valve rod would only last around 5000 shots at that speed before breaking. I broke 2 air valve rods and I then decided to turn the Matador down to 885. I don’t think that I have broken an air valve rod since then.
Once I turned the Matador down, I found out that it was noticeably more accurate and the air valve rod didn’t break! It takes me a while sometimes to find out what somebody else would have seen right off of the bat!
My R2.5 25 long gave me over 20,000 shots before it wore out an O ring in the regulator. It still shot fine but, it would drop a few hundred psi every hour and it would bleed down to zero overnight. I found the leak by applying dish soap to the regulator bleed hole on the bottom of the air tube.
I replaced both O rings in the reg and shot the gun for at least another couple thousand shots before I sold it to a guy. I know that he shot it a lot, never had a problem and sold it to another guy that is still shooting it.
The Belleville springs (shims?) in the regulator should never wear out. If they ever do, I am sure that you can get them from Tony or you can out source them. Tony has the complete air valve/regulator assembly in stock and it is currently going for $200 shipped.
Outside of worn out O rings, I can’t imagine you needing any parts for a Matador unless it has been abused. OK; after 100,000 shots, the hammer sear might get rounded off and need to be replaced.
Get on the list and ask Tony to send an extra air valve rod with your gun, just to be safe! You can find the replacement O rings locally.
Well I have over 20k pellets through mine And its working perfectly.
Only thing to wear out is Orings and possibly the metal/Delrin air rod( I have 2 spares just in case directly from Ed).
The cup washers Inside should last a very long time as well.
The Edguns received in the U.S. have not been around long enough to answer your question.
However, everything on the Edgun can be replaced, repaired, and adjusted by the owner.

I could use a spare stock as well. One for hunting and one for show. I tend to beat up stocks out in the field.
