Edgun’s first paper outing
Well not acctually the first time out had some other things I wanted to do before acctually shooting groups! Anyway here are a couple targets, The one with three dots were all shot at 65 yards and groups sizes as marked! 200 bar fill and shot 4 groups of 5 shots each. Filled it back up to 200 bar and shot at 50 yards “Note on the top of this target you will see one hole, I changed out the rings that were on the gun, they were just to low for me so I put on a new set of higher rings, if you go clear down on the bottom target on left you will see a second shot, after I move the scope adjustments down and to the left then a third shot to move it down a touch more! just thought I would explain that so you can see what I was doing, Anyway shot 3 groups of 5 shots and they are as marked, to make a long story short I am a happy camper! I have just started to have fun with the Edgun! Also I didn’t write on the 65 yard target but they to were JSB 18.1 gr pellets. I did not Chrony any of my shooting today but will when I get out again hopefully this week weather permiting, There was some wind today and rained off and on but it was a head wind and didn’t seem to affect anything! More to come for sure 😯

You guys sure have nice bench rests. 😯
I’ve always admired them when I make trips to Gander Mountain,
but I’ve never been able to justify the price (I’m cheap). Also, I’m
too lazy to haul around anything but my crappy sandbag, which
served as a mouse toilet for many years in my basement. 😆
I have seen these DVU they look like they would work well for shooting on the bench Caldwell makes some nice things for sure 😆

I have found, the “Caldwell Shooting Rests Lead Sled DFT 336-647” work very well with the EDGun or some other gun similar to the EDGun, it work work great with the Rapid II too. You can adjust the front rest and rear rest as well. You should try it out.
Ted it is a Leapers Mini Swat 3x12x44, 30mm tube it was Hoot’s gun he bought it new, then John.25 Condor bought it if you look under Edgun John has pictures of it you can see the scope there, I wasn’t sure I was going to keep that scope on it for sure it had some low rings on it when I got it so I had a pair of higher rings Accushot, put them on things got much better for me bringing the gun up and having everything where it belongs for my eye’s! It is really a good clear scope, on the smaller side but makes a nice set up for the Edgun! And yes poi is holding really well 😉
And GuyZ I use a Codwell front rest and a sandbag in the rear I don’t really touch much of anything, my left hand is by the rear sandbag so I can lightly squeeze it to lower my cross hairs and hold good on target the gun rest right on the rear sand bag by the butt pad, the front of the gun is resting on the forend on the front rest, I don’t touch that at all, right hand pulls the trigger with a light hold on the grip and if you do everything right you can watch your pellet slightly make a bigger hole after 5 shots all is good 😯
Guy here are a couple pictures of what I use you really don’t need to spend as much for the front rest I bought it for allot lest from a guy that didn’t like it, the rear you can get several places just a bag you can fill with sand or any type of media.
Thanks old Goat it is shooting very well! And not tunning yet! just having fun shooting it so far, it is a jewel of a gun only thing I might play with is a bit of a trigger tweak! it isin’t bad just needs to be a bit lighter for me 😉
Nice shooting Eddie!! Can you describe your shooting set up? Off a bench, bag in the front, pillow off the hood of your truck etc..? I’m curious as to how others bench shoot. I’m really liking the idea of the bipod as it looks to be very steady in Ted’s videos. Those are groups to be proud of for sure. Thanks for posting.

You might not want to try the chrony. If you do, you might want to start tuning. Tuning got me started on the slipery slope! Before I knew it, I ordered my 2nd Edgun!
Thanks Mam I am very impressed with the gun so far I just need to get myself settled in and it will shoot these groups all day, I wasn’t to concerned right now with fps but still always want to know what speeds I am shooting, this week I will set up and do a few strings just to see, I am sure in the 900’s someplace! what a nice piece of work this Edgun!
