Q:

EDGUN SAFETY

I just got my Matador and realized that it has no safety. If a pellet was loaded, I flip the lever pull back the bolt, hold the trigger & release the bolt – de-cock? Would it be ok to just open the bolt?

What do you do to insure safety?

Thanks Bryan

Nobody reads the manual, should I keep going on with putting it with the guns?

Cryptic respond due to computer issues. Takes long time now to type.
I actualy bent my bolt (the tapered probe end) by knocking trigger while it was pulled back, it rammed it forward, fired, knocked it back again(rotating the the mag too quickly, causing the probe to bent). I’m guessing that’s what happened, it was too quick to see, but the probe was bent after that. Plus, shit can get into the barrel, if its left open. I don’t guess its a big deal, but I’d avoid it.

I just remove my clip and de-cock the gun…I don’t like leaving the bolt open cause I have touchy people always in my house and I’m afraid of them dropping the gun and snapping the bolt right off or damaging the bolt in anyway

That’s how I do it. Leaving the bolt open isn’t good idea.

Yes you got it, flip disengage lever, retract bolt, and decock as you described.
