Q:

Edgun scope ring recommendation.

An earlier post mentioned the Burris signature rings.

I like the inserts that these rings use so I ordered the High 30mm rings.

Then,—– I returned the High rings and purchased the X-High.

From OpticsPlanet it is part # 420585: Burris Signature Zee 30mm Riflescope Mat Blk Ring Pair – Extra High

Burris 30 mm Signature Zee Ring Pair is shipped with Burris concentric and a pair of +/-.010″ inserts.

The +/-.010″ inserts were needed to zero properly.

I hope this saves some time for someone if these great rings are being used.

Now the gun is ready and what a gun it is……………..

They do not crush and are made of a hard plastic non marring inserts of various sizes to accommodate a desired scope angle.

The reason I ended up using my Burris Signature rings on the Edgun is because my scope ran out of adjustment in the up direction. It was maxed out in the up when zeroed at 35 yards. The Burris rings corrected this problem and now I am zeroed and have all of my scope adjustments available to me.

Burris Signature rings all the way! If you have a high quality scope that you don’t want to mark up, or you want to have full adjustment and get the optics the scope is capable of, the Burris Signature rings with the inserts are hard to beat.

I had no problem using B-Squares with Leupold 4.5-14×40 Mark 4

Are those mounts anti-crush?

What ring height are you guys finding most comfortable?

Either medium or high. I prefer medium, but both would work just fine.

[quote=”acourvil”]What was the reason for the extra high? Did you have a scope clearance issue, or is the rail so close that you needed the extra high for a comfortable position?

Not a clearance problem. I just was not comfortable with the High but the x-high is now perfect. Could it be that it is my face………..

B-square is whats on mine.

No need to go fancy.
Regular B-Square sport series for $15 a pair work like charm!

I have the Burris 30 mm Signature Zee Ring MEDIUM rings (420588) on
mine with a 60mm objective… I put the -10 on the bottom of the front
ring and the +10 on the bottom of the rear ring then shimmed the +10
even more to give me the ability to adjust my elevation to shoot at
200yds… I now have about 1mm clearance between the objective and
the shroud….. Perfect…

What was the reason for the extra high? Did you have a scope clearance issue, or is the rail so close that you needed the extra high for a comfortable position?
