EdGun service & parts
Since i´m new for EdGun/PCP i wonder what kind of service and service intervals is rekommended for a Matador R3. Some seals/o-rings that i should keep my eye on or change at regular intervals or other internal parts that need TLC ? I´m used to take care of weapons but this is my first PCP so i need some guidance. Thanks in advance ! :popcorn:

And now for something different:
Here is a list of ALL of the O rings that All of Matador’s use; except for the 177 cal. The 177 cal will use a smaller O ring for the probe. I have no clue as to what size it needs.
2.5 x 1.75 Buna N 70 Duro, front air tube plug fill O ring seal
3 x 1 Buna N 90 Duro .22 cal cocking handle probe O rings
4 x 1 Buna N 90 Duro .25 cal cocking handle probe O rings
5 x 1.5 Buna N 70 Duro fill probe
8 x 1.5 Buna N 70 Duro breech end of barrel on R2.5s
25 x 3 Buna N 70 Duro air valve/regulator assembly
20 x 1 Buna N 90 Duro R3 shroud O rings
7 x 1.5 Buna N 70 Duro regulator
12 x 2.5 Buna N 70 Duro regulator
The Buna N 90 Duro O rings are very hard to find and they are only needed on the probe and shroud.
I would recommend that you stock up on the 90 Duro probe O rings and order an extra air valve rod. If you have a 25, the air valve rod is only good for 15,000-20,000 shots. The air valve rod will last a lot longer in the 22 but, you might feel somewhat stupid if your gun breaks an air valve rod and you don’t have an extra one!
I have worn out the 2 regulator O rings after 18,000-20,000 shots. I don’t count every shot but, I do try to keep track of the JSB pellet tins that are used for each Matador.
Thank you ! A great list. Found everything – even those Duro 90´s. The probe rings in D90 cost just 35 cents a piece so i ordered 5 pairs at once. They oughtta last for a while now.
I would be intrested in a kit of the o ring if anybody
has them for an edgun standard in 25 cal.

Thanks ! I´ll get in touch with the “shepherd” regarding those spares and/or if further queries arise regarding Eddies and those hoofed,furry things … 😉
I’ve got over 25k pellets through mine and havent needed to replace any orings yet. I’ve had it apart a couple dozen times for regulator adjustment.
Lube trigger and sear linkage and bolt probe orings regularly and no issues.
Ed supplies you with a small assortment of orings from start and should be plenty for many yrs.
