Q:

Edgun soft case good? Bad?

Ok guys, The first think I saw when opening up my box from tony was the green edgun bag;just like everyone else. The first thing I noticed was that the zipper was poped open on both sides of the slide. Ok, I though maybe something happened during shipping to cause this or maybe the box was inspected. It took a little work, but I got the slide all the way around in order to get the gun out of the case and look it over. I don’t think much of it cuse I didn’t buy a bag, I bought a gun and I wasn’t sending the whole thing back cause of a broken zipper and I had already bought a hard ce for it. Wel, the hard case want wide enough and it hd to go back. Now I’ve been fighting with the dam thing for over a month but I jut figured it was a cheap case and not worth bitching about. However, I now see thwt some one has listed there green edgun bag of $150 on the classifieds. Am I missing something here? Based on the one I have, I wouldn’t pay $15 dollars for one, let alone over $100. Is there something iconic about it? I’m actually using mine as the “work space” where I rebuild it in the kitchen table so as not to get moly or anything else everywhere. Is your edgun bag totwly awsome wnd i Should I have complained and asked for a replacement? Or, is your edgun bag a piece of crap as well?

Brother Wanta,

my green edgun bag so far good and easy to TRP, and not take plenty place inside my car or anyplace ,,,it is very tight as RID mentioned, i like it …

but still i would like to buy either a pelican/ Boyt / SKB / or Plano waterproof/fog proof and dust proof…for protecting my lovely Edgun ..

i think all soft cases are only for a short transporting or taking out for a short trip to hunt and bring it back to home … otherwise for protecting against the bad whether or any bad situation a hard case is required …

An upholstery shop can fix the zipper inexpensively

I say a lot of pepole will see it as iconic and part of the gun package as they have been seen in pictures so many times along with the guns. Almost anyone buying a used gun asks for or at least wants the original box. I think in this case these bags are our original boxes. If it is worth that much $$ remains to be seen, if it sells we’ll know.

Also, The reality of it is they are a good shipping bag but after scoping with a good scope they just almost wont go back into the bag and some are very tight just fitting the gun.

Nah my cousin bought his edgun and his bag had a broken zipper as well.

It’s a good padded bag, but I would say it’s a lot closer to a $50 bag than a $150 bag. I haven’t heard of any others with bad zippers, you probably just had bad luck. You might want to check with Tony and see if you can get it replaced if you think you are going to want to use it.

Lol the bag is garbage…it’s sure as he’ll not worth $150 what he’s asking….your right it’s only a $15 dollar bag….that’s why the first thing I did was buy a pelican hard gun case to protect the matador from bumps or drops when transporting the rifle.
