Q:

Edgun Transformed

As the Edgun popularity is picking up quick I felt so would the minor modifications. One modification that I saw coming as soon as I held it was a different stock. So I ordered a second stock from Tony several months ago. It finally came in and I went to sanding on it.

Note – I used Lacquer thinner to strip it. I gave is a very light bead blasting to get those hard to reach areas.

I like this a lot !!

The stock stripped of black sparkle paint, sanded and painted Olde Maple poly/stain and cleared with minwax spray.

Put the sling stud in for Bipod. Bipod hole was drilled exactly 9/16″ deep with a 5/32″ drill. I put it right in between rib pillars and had NO penetration out the other side.

Now the stock did not come in for a direct “drop in” so I had to elongate the trigger hole and clear out a path for the trigger rod. The rifle would not cock upon first dropping it in place. Easily remedied

Now for the finished product…hope you like it 🙂

Looks great Tachdriver. Thanks for the info on the sling stud. I definately want to put a bipod on mine. I am waiting for my Edgun to get here. My grandfather makes custom stocks and he is all set to make one for my Edgun. He may be just as anxious to get started as I am. He did a real nice one for my S410 out of his last blank of Madrone. I think we will be using walnut for the Edgun. Earlier this year he made stocks for his and my daughter’s Crosman Discoveries; those were the first airgun stocks he has ever done, and he has been making stocks since the 1950’s. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Looks good. Where did you get the add on moderator? Is it mouse fart quiet now? Is it a permanent mod, or can the gun be still used with the orginal moderator only?
