Q:

Edgun vs Air Wolf

I just wanted to hear what people’s thoughts on these two guns are. I have the Air Wolf with a PAG shroud and it is a superb gun. It is very accurate, exceptionally quiet and the trigger is to die for. However, it is relatively heavy, quite long and I always forget to charge the battery. I am very tempted to go for an Edgun instead as I hear nothing but good things about them. They are also accurate, well regulated and relatively quiet (and I am sure that they can be made more so). However, I have never owned a Bullpup before, but I do know that the trigger can’t be in the same league as the Air Wolf, which is concerning (that being said, virtually any trigger is a step down from the Wolf’s: it really is that good).

So, what is everyone’s thoughts on these two badass rifles? I do know one thing: if you own either then you are a lucky man.

These guns and Edgun multi shot adapter are on a slow boat from on the other side of the world. Got to be a better way.

Are you listening Benjamin ?

I emailed Tony about an Edgun he said the First of September gee I think it is here! Seriously I was going to get a new one and ended up buying a used one but that is what he told me 😆

Even if the Air Wolf has more shots per fill and more accurate, I still preferred the EDGUN, I really don’t like the electronic device on the Air Wolf and I don’t like surprised when the battery die or the motherboard burn nor waiting for hours for a charge before you can shoot. Another problem that I have seen for any other electronic devices that using recharge battery, if you storage it for a while, the battery drains and does not hold charge anymore, in most cases, you will need to purchase new battery. What a hassle is that?

I owned the Airwolf MVT in .20

Very nice but it had some accuracy shift issues amongst others…MVT system was also not consistent and gave problems..

I strongly prefer the Edgun , my Rapid 12s and my Steyr LG110s to any Daystate I have owned.

having owned both I will say Edgun every time, unconditionally

If you are set on a buddy bottle type rifle then get the new Rapid 12 with gauge and quickfill

Mussolini, do you still own the Air Wolf? They seem like very very nice guns. And tachdriver says that his is more accurate than his Edgun. What about it puts it below the Edgun, unconditionally? Seems to me that the Wolf potentially has some better points than the Edgun. It certainly seems like a better range gun, for one.

Just wondering…

Wait time is a bitch “BUT” Tony “MIGHT” have a few in stock. After shooting mine, a friend contacted Tony and lucked out. Tony had a couple of Edguns in stock, ready to ship—–no wait 😯 So intead of waiting 2 months for his Edgun, he’ll be shootin’ his Edgun next week 😀 Best thing to do is contact Tony for the latest scoop.

I thought things over, and looked at the pictures of the Edge Gun and really I wanted the other big Boar Randy had on his store site which he sold out of.
So being that I am not as good as most and the Edgun will out shoot me, I ordered the Talon SS, and it shoots as well as the specks says 1″ at 50 Yards. The Condor I have shoots 1/2″ as the specs says, the velocity is as stated on PA site and the pellets are the Exacts, and the only gun that will out shoot it in my arsenal is the Marauder 25 caliber for which is less than 1/2″ at 50 yards with the 30+ grain pellets from PA.
I love that Edge Gun, but I don’t think “I” can shoot it to it’s potential according to the reports I’m seeing at 80+ yards? Even If I could you might kill a sparrow with it that far if you are lucky enought to make the pellet land directly on it’s 3/8th Inch head LOLOL.
I shoot from 0 to 45 yards with a pellet gun, and if i go further I use the Powder burners and am usually on a range or in the woods. I also use the Air rifle in teh woods for Squirrels and Rabbits or Groundhogs.
So I’ll leave the Edgun to the rich and stay in my reach and have enought money left to do other thing like buy me the Air Hog tank for my Corsair 308 to carry in teh woods, and to buy My License to hunt with and my hunting shroud for my 4/Wheeler to carry all my Junk on, But I must say you all have really impressed me with the Russian Gun.

Thanks! 😀

Tron, is the bottom of the shroud from PAG open, or closed. (air coming out the bottom?) They look Great! I have also heard that they can’t be removed. True?

220 Swifts shroud is ultra top notch, with an integral air stripper Incorporated, but the wait is long, and price high!

Mike

Yes, the bottom of the shroud is open, but the noise is very low. Of course, a lot of that is due to there being no hammer slap, as you know. It can be removed, to the best of my knowledge, but requires separating the action from the stock plus some fiddling. Thankfully I have not had to do this.

AWS Welder – My memory is hazy, but I think that it was $225 give or take a few $.

Those full shroud look exactly the same shroud that AZ made for my Theoben Rapid, it’s extremly quiet but long…..

tron how much was the PAG shroud, i was looking at a 220swift shroud off of airgun advice but its like five hundred dollars for a inch and a half diameter full shroud. quality looked awesome but its all custom fit and the wait is forever.

made for rapids and wolf/rangers.

Ken

Had them both. The edgun gun just does a better job for me.

Whatever I wanted to say, other ADGun owner already say it all 😆

Here is what I like it most.

Bullpup style which made it shorter.
Light weight.
Well balanced when shooting off hands.
Accurate from shot to shot and consistency.
Tactical look and feel.

Other good thing about this gun is, no need to tune it, it’s already as good as you can get from the factory.

Now if you wait until May this year, you will get new barrel with difference barrel twist rate which make it more accurate. You also can get a multishot/repeater with it also, not sure if the release date will slip again or not base on their tests.

This is why you did not hear anything bad about the EDGun/Matador.

Good luck….
